Wonder what's holding up the Edozie transfer? Supposedly was just up to him to choose between two clubs, but that was a while ago now.
Possibly, I don't remember how it was reported but thought it gave the impression that both clubs had met our valuation and it was just down to the player to agree terms with one of them. Clearly not the case though otherwise it would be done by now!
2 weeks to go til the window closes. Still feels like lots could happen for us, but also not much could as well. Quite a weird scenario
Yeah, it's interesting to see so much going towards the wire. I still think we see five new faces by this time in two weeks
This talk of Edozie made me think, if he leaves now he'll probably end up quite low down our list of Man City youth signings and how they turned out for us. In the last few years we've signed Gunn, Bazunu, Lavia, Edozie, Larios, Charles and Harwood-Bellis. As signings (so trying to consider performances for us and any fees received rather than just how good they are as a player) I'd probably rank them like this at the moment: Lavia - Did well for us, was sold for big money, seems to have been plagued by injuries since. Harwood-Bellis - Good first season, poor second season, if he leaves we should at least get our money back. Let's see how he goes now. I have him ahead of Charles because he has actually been an important player for us in the past. Charles - Decent first season given his age, great second season out on loan. It's probably a good thing for him that he missed last year's ****show. I have him here because he's now done it at this level and has started this season well but hasn't been an important player for us for long enough yet. He could move up to second. Edozie - If he leaves now it all feels a bit meh. He did reasonably well for us at times but wasn't really ready to be first choice, especially when he first joined, and it doesn't look like we'll make much of a profit on him. He might still come good but a move to Belgium feels like a step backwards. Bazunu - Been here 3 years, played a lot for two seasons, hasn't been very good for most of that time. On the plus side, he's started this season well and will move up the list if he keeps it up. Gunn - Signed for fairly big money (for a keeper), didn't play a lot, moved on for maybe half(?) of what we paid for him. Probably found his level in the Championship, now warming the bench at Forest. Larios - No criticism of him as a player or person but his injuries mean this is about as bad as transfers get. Sadly it looks like his career's been ruined, or at least severely limited.
