Go and bore someone else Tory boy. Your party broke our country with incompetence and corruption so have the grace to own it
I’ll just say Weapons of mass destruction. That man sent his army to the Middle East on a lie. And young men needlessly died there because of it. I don’t believe for one second that he believed Saddam Hussein was stockpiling WMD. He was Bush’s puppet. I’ve said it before. You can’t trust politicians these days to have your back. And that includes every party. I thought Johnson, Sunak et all were useless and so far I think the same can be said for Starmer. And I’ll say the same about Biden and Trump in the US and Albinese here in Australia. I’m a bit like Benjamin in Animal Farm. He’s been around long enough to know that it doesn’t matter who is in charge as nothing will really change. And going on from that why do you think he chose pigs as the leaders?
Two independent enquiries didn’t say that but I’m sure you know best. still the best PM in living memories. But the bar isn’t high given Thatcher, Major, Johnson Sunak or Truss.
I’m not trying to provoke argument here NR. And I don’t know best, but like me you probably don’t either. I’m just very cynical these days
We don’t know you are right. However two massive enquiries didn’t say not say what you said Jimmy. Are Labour perfect? No. Are they a million per cent better than the alternative? Yes. Tske away the right wing biased media and tjings are not so bad given the absolute clusterfk this government inherited
If you’re talking about the Chilcot report it pretty much did. “I will be with you whatever”. Not my words, Tony Blair’s to George Bush. Blair was taking the UK to war no matter what. You could say that’s in the past, but the ramifications of that war are still being felt today. Like you I don’t know what the answer is, if there even is one. The world is a very different one to the one I certainly grew up in….I don’t know how old you are, but I belong to Generation X and grew up in a different time to now. I worry about the world our children are going to inherit. I’ll wholeheartedly agree with you that the bar has been set low when it comes to competent government in the UK and the western world over the last few years. So I’ll just say that at present I don’t think Starmer is doing a good job but he’s still got time to convince me. If the country is still screwed in 10 years then I’ll say “told you so”
For 30 years the WEF has been putting their stooges in power across most of the developed world. They have used their 'young globalist leaders' initiative to groom then install most Pm' s across Europe and beyond. They have never hid this. Blair, Trudeau, Merkel, Macron, just to name a few. Fink (Blackrock). Fauci, Soros, Gates and many more all work to the same agendas pushed by them. They own the media and force their **** on us and label everyone Right Wing or Racist if we oppose. Bickering about Labour or Tories is just a sideshow, they are both the same at the top. Cannot mention who started and funds it as you are labelled a Anti Semite. Here's a link to the basics but it goes a lot deeper when you look into it. Who Are the World Economic Forum’s ‘Young Global Leaders?’ The Names May Surprise You. | Human Events | humanevents.com
Probably not an avenue you want to go down, given the predilection for that sort of thing on the further right side of politics, mind
Chilcot savaged Blair in his inquiry. He said he exagerrated to parliament the threat posed. All peaceful solutions had not been exhausted. Other regimes posed greater threats. Blair commitment to Bush whatever. Govt had no exit plan and no post war plan. Even Starmer gave legal opinion that the war was not done on any legal basis. All in all that decision to go to war was appalling. In my opinion anway. And time just paints it in an even darker light. I agree with you and I have said for a while, the two main parties are dreadful. Blairs long years left behind a mess. The tories have left behind a mess. Until we change the nature of politics we wont see any different. Well, I suppose we might in Reform and it will be Labour and the Tories we have to thank for that.
And I don’t know if Reform would be the answer. But I do know if we don’t learn from history then we as a society, a country, a culture, a world are buggered. We only have to look at Germany in the 1920s and the rise of National Socialism to see what could happen if the main centrist parties don’t take notice of their voting population.
