I hope you’re right about Stewart. I did say if Dibling stays. Him, Robinson, Fraser and Adarma are good wide options. Who are we going to sign who is an improvement on that? I agree another central AM would be nice, but won’t be upset if we don’t. If Downs and Quarshie are the type of players we are bringing in, then I would just rather look to the academy for new players. There’s got to be half a dozen youngsters who will be knocking on the door this season.
Still was saying after the game that we have a lot of inverted forwards - Adarma, Cameron, and Robinson, but only one real winger in Tyler. To play his system he wants genuine wingers. Can't remember if he included Fraser as an inverted forward, and can't be arsed to listen back, but I think so.
Contrary to what others have said, I didn’t think Dibling looked disinterested. Every time he received the ball he was in a position where the only way he could pass it was backwards.
And then there was Leif Erickson the actor best known (by me at least) for playing Big John Cannon in the High Chaparral that many of my generation might remember.
Um, so... the winning run ends at two games. What's the protocol now? Somebody else on match thread duty?
No, you carry on until we lose, that’s how it’s always been! Just to reassure you, you have a way to go to beat Loading’s record from 2 years ago!
Yeah I thought some of the comments were harsh. He had barely any time and at a point where we were under the cosh.
I would argue Dibling is currently at the lower end of favourability with Saints fans; gets a lot of unfair (and untrue) stick imo
Generational talent. The irony is that people will moan about him if/when he leaves, but it’s the same idiots who scapegoated him and took to social media slagging him off every time he played. Why should he stay when the fans are being dicks to him?
Especially odd he gets the criticism he does, when you see players like Fernandes (arguably they're both in a talent pool of their own, in regards to our squad) getting serenaded.
A bit overdramatic, tbh. He will get **** wherever he goes. That’s the life of a football player. He also gets adulation and more money than most of us can dream of. The boy will be fine. And saying he made no impact on the game today was just plain accurate.
The emergence of JRob softens the blow of Tyler leaving but i'll still be gutted, I've always said that there are a certain section of Saints fans that love to have a go at "our own", Matty Targett, Harry Reed, Will Smallbone and now Tyler, they expect them to be fully formed players somehow and not understand that inconsistency is a by product of learning in the first team.
Been saying this for years. You'd think fans would be more lenient and patient with players who are "one of our own", but instead it seems the opposite is true
