Simple reason: the niggling injuries he's been picking up in the past couple of seasons Last season he missed ten games due to various hip and abdominal injuries, and the previous season he missed eight due to knee and muscle injuries, for a total of 173 days over two seasons Likely why the Mansourites are keen to move him on, as he can't play with the presence he had 3-5 years ago as his body is starting to fail him
That's a fantastic price. Knowing Levy, the add-ons will probably be tied to us winning the quadruple without losing a game.
So I guess we’ll get an indicator of how close we are with the Eze transfer when the teams are announced at 1pm today? I’d imagine if he’s left out, we can start to believe this transfer has legs! Romano’s also saying that Savinho remains keen on joining us, but city are expecting an improved offer. the optimist in me (which is rare as you all know) feels that we’re focusing on getting the Eze transfer sorted, and then we’ll go back to city for Savinho separately. could Levy be about to splash upwards of £100m? It’s the hope that kills you.
Eze alone and I’ll be buzzing my tits off, I’d already consider it a good window after the additions of Kudus and Palhinha. I’d personally love a new striker more so than Savinho, obviously Richarlison has started the season on fire but it’s not something I feel we can rest on and I’ve never been overly sold on Solanke. But a window of Kudus, Palhinha and Eze, 3 proven, quality Prem players, that’s a successful window for me. Would give it an 8/10.
Palace are reportedly looking to sign Cristos Tzolis from Brugge, as well as their previously reported interest in triggering Bilal El Khannouss' relegation release clause Certainly looks like they're lining up replacements for somebody
We need a CB and FB, not a chance we can juggle four competitions with what we currently have, especially if Frank wants to use 3atb.
Romero, Mickey Van, Danso, Vuskovic, Dragusin, Davies, Takai We can absolutely juggle multiple competitions with those options, especially considering we played with a back four yesterday
I was under the impression Vuskovic is heading out on loan, while Dragusin isn't back for months. Takai very inexperienced. It isn't nearly enough.
3atb is only being used for big away days I think. I think 4231 is going to be the primary formation, especially with the potential Eze and Savinho signings. So I don’t really think a new CB is as much a priority as has been made out, we’ve got two elite CBs, one very, very good one, two promising young ones and Dragusin too who when back fit I’d like to see under Frank as I think he’d be far better for him than Ange. There’s also Davies who’ll always be a reliable body. A RB I’d agree is ideal but with Gray likely a good year or two away from being a Prem calibre DM, it might be better to utilise him as a Porro backup for the time being. Getting Eze along with the other two Prem proven players is a huge boost to this side though, I’ve often maintained we’ve got a good squad even during the dark times under Ange, with this manager and those signings, we’ve then got a really good squad, borderline great.
Yeah Eze would be a very good signing but it’s not enough alone to be focusing on the offensive areas. Defensively need another FB like you say. CB would be nice but I can’t see that happening. Savinho for me would be a big amount of money on somewhere that isn’t a priority
Eze is the top priority for me and as DH said Kudus, Palinha, and Eze would be a very good window. If we could then get Savinho or similar profile for the left then it’s a 9/10 window And IF we got Hincapie in too for that LCB / LB position that would be 10/10 cream your pants window.
Palace are playing on Thursday in a conference league qualifier. - if Eze plays, does that make him cup tied for the CL if we sign him? What are the rules these days?
