Nicked from X but an absolute belter from the lad.

I sincerely hope Omar Alderete gets an extra hash brown on his breakfast this morning.

Looking at Brentford losing reminds me of the days Henderson was in the mix for possible signings. I'd be surprised if anyone wishes it had happened given what we saw yesterday. I'm no expert like a lot of you here are, but it seems that anything Henderson could have done for us Granit can do better.

There's definitely a certain kind of bias that doesn't bother me but it's a bit shabby imo.

This is from the BBC ...

"The experience and tenacity of Granit Xhaka is likely to be crucial this season, but the Black Cats' other new recruits also impressed against the Hammers, with Diarra and Noah Sadiki looking more than capable of forming a potent midfield alongside the veteran Swiss international.

Why 'veteran' and why 'Swiss', not simply an international <laugh>

He's younger than Trippier, Dan Burn, Salah, van Dijk, Chris Wood, Schar, etc etc etc ...

... how many times will they be called veterans like they've just been dragged out of retirement.

How good was Mandava yesterday, proper defender, just did his job. Hume another that was solid.

Are we allowed to get carried away?

It’s also about time refs had some bottle. West Ham right back getting a card already and kicks the ball away too. Should’ve had 2 yellows but the ref shrugs his shoulders and just yellows him. Obviously 2 yellow offences. No bottle at all.

Mind, with hindsight, I’m glad he didn’t, but certainly should have

Mandava was superb! 2nd goal was al lot to do with him. Most full backs just lump it, he dropped his shoulder beautifully and fed Adingra. Saw a much bigger picture. Absolute quality footballer

The whole team were so solid and disciplined. They knew their roles and followed the instructions to a t.

Thats good coaching and clever players imo.

We might not set the highlight reel alight, but id take this disciplined, hard to break down team every day of the week
