Ref has been **** for both teams in varying degrees.

 

HT 1-1. Saints got both goals at least.

 

We got better at that half went on, after a slow start.

I think we edged it as the better side, but as always we are the masters of our own downfall and create our own issues. Some players, THB in particular, don’t look very sharp.

Cut that out and get the likes of Jay and Matty on the ball more and we’ve got something to build on.

Long-term perspective, I’d take 1-1 right now. A point away to your promotion rivals is never a bad result.

 

Fantastic half. Yes we still look vulnerable to brainfarts, but I think we are beginning to see the high energy, attacking style Still wants.

 

I don’t hate the idea of Matty moving back to a deeper position, taking Downes off, and having Tyler and Jay on the wings. That or losing one of the defenders.


For what it’s worth, we’re away from home and more than matching the team that are firm favourites to win the league, for all the complaining.
