To be fair, I’m surprised Downs got it if it was served up on a plate for him.

Cajuste on their bench, and Billy Jean back for them.

    Szmodics will score I suspect.

Crazy line up for this level, yet relegation quality in the Prem. The gulf is enormous.

    MotM Manning not starting?
Too many questions with that starting line up, let it go and get ready to watch the match with a little bit of optimism despite the line up

I'll go for a 2-1 win for Ipswich. But this is one of those games where any outcome, and scoreline, is very possible and wouldn't surprise me.

Line up looks strong, but Armstrong as a central striker will never work and I don't know why it is a thing we are trying again.

Rather start with Archer, Stewart or Downs in the middle with one of Armstrong or Fraser making way.

Special note for our biggest signing of the window being dropped from the squad by game three, just Saints recruitment things.

Edit - I should pay more attention.

I also hope that it's a front two with Matty sitting behind, rather than a front three with Matty wide right and Armstrong as no.9.

I think that would be better both for Matty (more central) and Armstrong (less central). Maybe Robinson too.

I assume Stewart has come down with an allergy to his body finally being physically fit?

I have to say that my first thought, when I saw we weren’t playing a genuine RB, was how much their LB Davis would be rubbing his hands together. He’s one of their most dangerous outlets, is he not?
Maybe it’s a surprise lineup with THB at RB in a back four.

Downs also ill apparently. ****ing typical that it's our two proper number 9's that are out. I would still probably start Archer central over Armstrong but forgivable under the circumstances. Little bit harsh on Edwards to drop straight out for THB too. We need to bring in a new RB because there's no way we should be starting Fraser there in anything but an emergency or as an in game switch like against Wrexham. Also surprised Manning didn't make it in, but maybe Wellingtons a bit faster to try and stop Billy Jean who I seem to remember destroyed us last time he came to St.Marys for Hull. Hopefully our midfield works well together because in theory that is as strong as it gets at this level. Hope Diblings heads in the right place too because he could be a real asset to bring off the bench in the second half, not least because he is our only wide option.

Are we allowed to win 3 games in a row? It’s not illegal or something?

No probs with Welly playing. If the CF are ill, then so be it. I'd also rather Archer start. Hopefully Arma will go and score now!

Their line up scares me more than ours does (which makes a nice change. Normally I’m petrified by ours), so I’d definitely take a draw if it was offered.

Not a fan of the lineup really but sounds like hands were tied with some players.

Hoping the “Ipswich have started poorly and not playing well” continues today as that is the only way I can see us getting anything, a draw would be a good result

Also I’d imagine the logic with Fraser at wing back is to maybe make Davis think twice about going forward as he will be more attacking than Sugawara. Don’t think it will work, but I think that’s come into the thinking about Fraser playing there

So we’ve gone from Fernandes is too good for this division to Ipswich are much better than us in a few days. Saintsy…
