Bowen truly is a fantastic player. You see more at the game than you ever can on TV. He is so active and he is superb.

He deserves so much more than relegation battles.

Got a message of a guy in my team, big hammers fan:

Really impressed by you lot yesterday. The pace in your front 4 is scary, night and day compared to ours!! Can't believe Potter kept that back 5 after going 2 down, can't see him lasting till December.

No idea why we didn't try to sign any of your CMs, Diarra and Xhaka in particular walk into our team. Love Ballard, old school defender and what a great goal he scored.

Tbf Darren's thoughts on football are pretty useless lol, but he was spot on with those 2 messages

Christ, celebrations were in full effect. Dropped the boy off and went for it.

Rough as a snipers elbow here and bank balance depleted.

    What a day.

What I loved about Dans goal was he seemed to slow his exit back down the park, like he expected us to win it back and hung fire cos he thought might be something for him.

That’s how it felt in the moment anyway.

My mate was raging, said they have 3 big CBs yet none of them are marking Ballard when it comes in - I was saying that was clever from Ballard, gets away from them and into the space - great movement

Really hope he stays fit, I said when he joined he would be a good PL CB and i hope he proves that this season

Also wanted to shout out Hume, thought he was very good yesterday - not sure he put a foot wrong (don't think many did). Hume will def have tougher games than that but thought positionally he was very good and he was his usual assured self in possession - I really like him and Talbi as a partnership

Thing is mate, yeah largely comfortable and not out in danger but that’s a confidence game under his belt.

Massive for him. Hume always steps up.

Just re-watched MOTD, never used to watch it when we were in the championship. But deary me, Shearer sat there like a spoilt kid, I thought he was meant to be a pundit. My ar$e, his professionalism showed through where he couldn't remain impartial or even speak about how good we were and then berated Isak. Pr!çk

Regis seems to be ageing backwards. Absolutely glowing like a bairn at Christmas after the game bar his hairline looking fresh as a daisy.

What a brilliant day yesterday! Everything was just perfect! Great to meet up with everyone again at the museum before and after the match. The noise in the stadium was amazing and thought the whole team played superbly! Got a feeling Alderete will become a cult hero for us! Ha’way the lads! On to Burnley!!

Sadiki was class yday too wasn't he. So much potential. I just look at that midfield and laugh at the thought of Dan Neil starting. Not to discredit him but he doesn't get close. If he has to play it significantly reduces the quality and power of that CM.

Burnley conceding 3 and could have been more just shows what they did last season makes absolutely no odds in this league.

All 3 promoted sides are gonna get humped a few times but the fact they conceded 20% of what they did last season after 1 game should make them **** their pants.

We win down there next week they will be straight into panic mode.

If somebody told you after the playoff final that ELF wouldn’t get into our midfield 3 for the premier league opener you’d have called them crazy.

But here we are. And rightly so. Unbelievable.
