    first half i think WHU edged it, which i was pleased about, did not want our lads to go 'full on' and they showed some respect by not thinking they only had to turn up to win, pretty much us getting to grips with them rather than anything else.

    second half and i honestly thought if we get a goal there is only going to be one winner...alderete paid for his transfer in half a game.

    sadiki might have been missed by some but he stuck to his task and he just 'popped up' exactly when needed, roefs was superb in fact every player was excellent...giving my MotM to big dan, superb defensive job and a well taken goal.

    i know it was a magnificent save as it came to him quick but think it wouldve been disallowed as on my slow mo it looked like two of their players were just off when the ball was hit

    OMG how good was that? A cracking team performance. Great that the goals came from lads who were here last season with assists by new lads. Spoke to a few West Ham fans and they were very complimentary about us and all wished us well. Also seen Tony Cottee posing for photos after the game with both sets of fans. Always liked him as a player.

    Goals from Mayenda and Isidor on their premier league debuts is just stupid. I cannot believe how well that went for new and returning players and the coach and the recruitment team and the ****ing fans.

    one thing i did get upset about were those two assaults on ballard, first one from wilson you do not want to see on a pitch...this is one time that VAR should step in, could have been serious injuries yet no cards were given.

    That game could not have been more perfect and the fact that it was last seasons players that scored the goals made it even more special and must tell the other boys on the bench that there is a role for them too.

    Ballard though, what a performance

    Not to get carried away but West ham, I've said all week that they would be the barometer for us and we never looked too uncomfortable. Bowen had some class moments first half but what ever tactical tinkering Le Briss done, shut him up second half
