No change there then for Mr Competitive. Even with a vastly superior squad, he still plays dire football.
Most thought he was OK and we should have kept him. Only one or two (and not Kalman as I remember) said he was ****e.
Yeah I just put it on another thread 30 mins ago, didn’t see this thread, but bang on, looking like a great result.
I thought we probably should’ve kept him for continuity as we did stay up but the football was abysmal and I said as much last season.
Says a lot about you that does. The football was abysmal but at least you got the chance to have a go at Acun for sacking another Manager.
We got some decent results under him but the football was shocking and we stayed up by a **** hair. Sellés’ football seemingly defies logic. What he talked about in interviews and what we saw on the pitch was miles apart. It’s hoofball without a target man. We averaged 40% possession against even the ****ter teams in the division. The only tactic was to sit back and hope one of our players could score a goal with some individual brilliance. I did think we maybe would’ve seen an improvement if he had a full pre-season with us but he’s inherited a superior squad at Sheffield United with a full pre-season and it’s the exact same there.
I mean he might turn it round and do well but he gave me the impression he’s a bloke who aces interviews. Can you imagine him and Wilder both doing a power point presentation? But I’d rather have wilder anytime
