  1. The big bloke was not assaulting him for ****s sake. If he was kicking the **** out of the other guy, then yeah I'd say that's bad, but all the bloke did was drag him off the train. It's not assault.

You should go to America, people there get sued for ****ing flicking someone's ear over there.

The disrespectful **** got much less than he deserved.

Deserved the beating from the guy. Too many people these days are afraid of little pricks like this cause if they give it large or break the law people are worried all the PC brigade will cry assault if they even push them.
In the words of clarkson societies bottom feeders like this should be taken out in front of their family and shot !

Aye, a modern day Spartacus. <doh> He showed him the exit and the little scroat tried to barge his way back on. Is that not assault? I have to say your concern for the perpetrator is very touching.

sorry pal, just because you are of the opinion that it's not assault doesn't mean that it's not assault <ok>

**** if I know, but I would imagine they do have one, considering sorting out people who haven't paid for their tickets is a pretty large part of their job. Would imagine that if he flatly refused to get off they'd call the police and have two coppers waiting for him when he gets off at his stop.

I could imagine myself accidentally getting pissed and losing my ticket, and not having enough money to pay the extortionate prices they make you pay when actually on the journey. I remember when I was going to Edinburgh a couple of years back, managed to get a ticket for about 8 quid. Got on a train that said Edinburgh Waverley on the front, parked at the right platform about ten minutes before departure time. It was only when it started moving about two minutes later that I actually realised I'd in fact got on the wrong train. Two other people had made the same mistake as well. I sat near one of the people and we explained the situation to the conductor when he came down, he was having none of it and told me either to get off at the next stop (Berwick) or stump up 45 quid to get to Edinburgh. Lucky I had enough money because I don't know what I would have done if I'd had to get off at Berwick. What I do know is that I wouldn't have taken too kindly to some weekend warrior behind me who has no real right to get involved coming down, dragging me up by my arms, wrestling me to the floor then throwing me off the train.

Trust me I'm not a member of the so-called 'PC brigade' but that was a mistake on that guy's part, he should never have gotten involved unless the conductor or other passengers were in physical danger.

It's nowt to do with that. It's the fact that too many people are no longer willing to stand up and do the obvious because common sense has been usurped by this overly cloying PC attitude. You see it in the classroom and you see it on the streets. People get away with too much ****e these days.

i'm not trying to defend the actions of the teenager here, he was in the wrong and I hope he learns a big lesson from this. What i'm attempting to do is open the eyes of those who see 'big man' as some sort of hero. The man was also in the wrong, he shouldn't have got involved and he broke the law as a result.

Yes, but your reaction and situation were not the same as the one on the video.

  12. Rugby tackled <laugh>

He's using necessary force to remove him from the train. He wasn't hitting him or using excessive violence. I don't believe in this crappy law that physical force is only right if you receive it first. You've got ****ing wait for people to hit you before you do anything.

Yeah but if I'd had no money I would have had to get off at Berwick and been completely stranded, unable to pay for a fare back. What on earth I would have done I have no idea, asked someone to pick me up but that's a hell of a drive for one of my mates to have to make. I could imagine not being too willing to get off in that instance, and although I wouldn't have been as cheeky as that kid I wouldn't have been too pleased either.

There are no trains in Kuwait. The people are politer than in England though.
I'm an expat and I've been out of the country a very long time. I go back occasionally, and I can honestly say that the behavior of far too many people is noticeably worse every time I go back. This is probably a generational thing, but that bloke just picked him up and showed him the door. Fair enough, it got a bit rough at the end but the little waster was hardly an innocent party in it. But let's just say he hadn't got chucked to the ground and had simply been 'helped' to the door, then the 'anti-his-actions' people on this thread would still be banging on about assault. I just think that's wrong-headed.

But every situation is different, and the one shown on the video was of a cheeky little gobshite holding up everyone's journey. One bloke solved the problem with minimal fuss, but apparently in this day and age, that's not allowed.

You can obviously see more of that on the video than the rest of us.
