In my mind we have got 7 or 8 players that would get into some lower end premier league clubs and have maybe 4 that could get into mid-table clubs. Last night when I saw Forest had done deals for McAtee and Kalimuendo, Douglas Louiz also almost done along with Omari Hutchinson too. I had a look at their squad. I discover that before these 4 signing's Forest had spent over £400m since 2022 when the fat Greek took over. Bent the rules and taken point deductions but give him his due he realises that you need to stay in the prem because that’s where the money is. He just paid £30m for McAtee, Kalimuendo will be near on £40m, Omari Hutchinson deal is £37.5m and Louiz ain’t going to be cheap, so probably adding £130m more to the £400m already spent. Looking at his squad its now full of internationals and there are a few who would be able to grace any of the top 6 prem teams. They have around 8 players who would walk into our starting 11. I am officially taking Forest out of the relegation fight. They also have a top manager. We really need to hope Wolves, Everton, Brentford, Burnley, Sunderland, West Ham all struggle.its going to be a war between managers at the bottom end, maybe not just quality of the squads. Will Potter carry on struggling, will Moyes have built his team around Grealish and his new players, will Andrews cope at this level with the owners they have making a bomb from player sales but are the players being replaced? Staying in the premier league is what the 49ers need for their investors and Of course themselves and their stadium plans. Right now they should be worried. Leeds 8 signings and spent £73.5m (£80m inc add ons) Sunderland 13 signings £165m plus whatever loan fee for Guiu. Which owners are doing the best job Did this happen or not? By the start of this year we knew we were either going up or not. So the obvious job for the recruitment team was to put a list together for potential players in case of promotion plus a list of players we need to offload. Another list in case we didn't go up. Seems common sense to me. You then start to work on the lists and start speaking to agents to sound out players you want to find out if they are interested. Window opens and you go to work and as can be seen keeper, midfield and defenders were quickly signed. What happened to the forwards…. What happened to sprinkling of stardust we were promised. The only forwards signed are freebies and both injury prone. Everton have been the lowest scoring premier league team over the last 5 seasons much of which will be blamed on Dyche and now Moyes. If rumours are true that we are now in for signing Beto and adding him to DCL and Harrison, what does that say about our chances. Beto scored only 11 goals from his last 60 Everton appearances. What happened to our list of forwards and should someone be getting a kicking as it’s been a mess for forward recruitment. I have no confidence in Farke but he deserves his chance to show that he does know what he’s doing. I wish him and the squad the best of luck. And I really hope the owners don’t hang him out to dry as he hasn’t been supported with forward players
Unproven players from Premier league clubs are costing £40 million these days. Its crazy. Liverpool vs Bournemouth about to kick off. Let's hope Bournemouth get a pummeling and struggle this season.
I'm waiting till the window shuts to say my bit. what I will say is we aren't where I thought we would of been come the first game.
Let’s see what the FA do to the scousers for racial abuse, they did **** all when they attacked the Citeh players coach with flares prior to the CL match. Oh forgot it won’t of been one of there’s, horrible cnuts, I really do detest them more that Manure.
Game one of the season and im already flabbergasted at the bias in Liverpools favour. Guarantee we'll get a couple of red cards that aren't as bad as some of the tackles tonight.
Plus what’s the effing useless FA doing about them plastic paddy’s in Anfield singing rebel songs, **** all as per usual, only same as if you were singing about the rag heads in Gaza getting bombed there would be hell on !!!
I’m expecting all of Wolves, Everton, Brentford, Burnley, Sunderland, West Ham & us to struggle this season. Just hoping we can be better. Need a CAM and a winger though. All you need to look at is Bournemouth tonight, probably better chances in the first half, missed it and they’re 1-0 down at half time. Got to, got to take your chances in this league or you will be punished. Absolutely no chance of Bournemouth struggling, they look a very well organised side. Also, weren’t we after their manager but went for Marsh instead or was that a bit later? Cannot believe we finished 9th under Bielsa and didn’t build, the foundations were there. We could be in the position of Villa, Forest or Newcastle right now after that with good owners. Still baffles me. Don’t think it’s actually been too bad but defo one on Semenyo that should’ve and would’ve been a yellow if it was us but just a free kick was given. This was the one where he was fouled a few times too, if that was one of the so say ‘bigger teams’ they’d be shouting from the rooftop and trying to fight us I’d imagine.
H ave ro be honest t forgot Liverpool game was on. I have sane interest in pl as I had last season, none. Everton won’t be relegated as usual. Speaking about transfers to dat, no point in taking fantasy stuff about what might happen, currently we’re probably favourites for the drop. 49ers so far have been a let down this summer. Still have a couple of weeks to sort it. I don’t really expect it though
Forest at it again by going after Rico Lewis Looking at the results last night, and there weren’t that many, but there were 12 red cards. Has there been another fifa directive or something
