Some pundits have said and are still saying it is City's title to lose.

They may well win it and they are definitely favorites but it is too early to say they can only lose it...

they have very little experience of the pressure of fighting for the title , of the pressure of the final few matches. Their attack is sensational and against middle and low placed teams they will score lots of goals. BUT they also concede as their defence is not that tight.

For me City are favorites to win but they are untried and untested and it could all unravel if United put them under pressure.

Speaking as a Chelsea fan in peace looking for no hate, I think you are definite favourites. But, the challenge won't be just from United. We are gaining momentum and Spurs are looking good. Its going to be exciting lets put it that way.

Not sure its Citys to loose, its never been theirs to start with, as in, they are not running away with the league and we are not half way through the season. December and January was always going to be crucial for City with the fixtures they have. The race for the title could be alot closer and between more teams than people think. Utd, City, Spurs, Cheslea and Arsenal are in with shout at the moment. Whether all five teams will still be in the chase come May is debatable.

The title is very much in city's favour, due to the size and quality of squad they have.
I cant see the Chavs winning it, they still look all over the place, Spuds will implode, Arsenal are a one man team at the moment, and UTD are the only contenders. But there are plenty of games left and anything could happen.

Did you watch the Arsenal game at the weekend? Or even the highlights? To say they are a 1 man team is tragic, don't spit out everything you hear from other people, you look a tool. This coming from someone not too keen on Arsenal btw son ;)

It was Chelsea's to lose after about five games last season. The reality is it is no one's to lose unless one team has a five point lead going into May.
Last night highlighted how ridiculous it is to get carried away about anyone so early in the season, so far we've all beaten or taken points off each other at the top of the table and it'll be a great season I reckon.

City can be favourites for me, they're now in unfamiliar territory and we'll just keep plodding on behind them nicely. Although I suspect after this weekend we'll no longer be behind them, or maybe just on goal difference.

They had one good "team" game, other than that they rely on RVP to score.

Walcott is always all over makin runs and settin up/shootin, Man U rely on Rooney...one man team.

Ba has scored more goals for Newcastle than anyone this season, if you were to say we are a one man team would bring hilarity on your knowledge of football.

It was their title to lose, until they lost to Chelsea. Now it's our title to win if we match City's results and beat them at the Etihad. Obviously that's a big if, but with only a two point gap at the top anything is possible.

It's not so much the fact that RVP has scored around half of Arsenal's goals, but it's how crucial some of those goals have been. Without his goals this season they would be 13 points worse off, and closer to relegation than Europe. If you took away Rooney's goals for Utd we'd only be two points worse off. Obviously that's hypothetical and assuming no one else scored, but if shows how important he is to their team - no one else finishes as regularly and makes the difference in so many games, although Ba is close to being as important as a goalscorer for Newcastle.

Would you not agree that Ba is the main reason Newcastle are pushing for top six this season, rather than hovering mid table as they did last?

It's impossible to say, the goals Ba has scored have been great the positions he's got in to score them but if he wasn't there maybe someone else would have been, who knows. Rooney works his socks off in midfield so if he hadn't of played, the build up play to other players scoring MAY not have occured, who knows. The thing that bothers me is, saying arsenal is a one man team, because their best striker is scoring goals (the job he is hired to do) is stupid. If you supported them, would you prefer RVP to pass the ball rather than shoot and potentially lose a goal? He is employed to score, to me that means arsenal have done a great job playing him where he makes a difference. He doesn't cross the balls for himself, or produce his of 1-2 passes, or his own through balls, it's still a team effort!

I dont think it is anybodies yet to lose..certainly not city's..we are all seasoned football fans and we know that really the christmas period is the one that shows where we are going in the league...as the matches come thick and fast...the players that have been on fire end up usually being foreign and end up having problems with thawing thier nuts for the winter games so end up doing a Van Persie....(look out for his imminent departure from the arsenal team via an injury till about april just when the sun comes back again....

i mean your team have had an incredible run.....the others have been tripping slightly yet...the likes of ourselves, chelsea and Arsenal have been on amazing mini runs also and are breathing down your necks and to have someone breathing down your necks after 14 games...means thats alot of sweaty neck till 38 games are up

i look forward to a cracking season..i do not begrudge City as i think your manager is absolute class...i question his tactics at times but the way he deals with his players is brilliant because someone has to keep these overpaid immature tw@ts in check...<ok>

Tbh i can see Man U winning it.

I don't think Arsenal are real title contenders either though that could easily bite me in the ass next week.

They way some City fans go on you would think they had won it already. I think it is lost on some of them that medals are not handed out in December.
