I don't know if he's a better footballer, but he's certainly less of a risk in the context of the Championship.
It is cashflow issues at face value, that said if Acun clearly wanted to give the club some headroom to get inbound free/loan transfers concluded during the current window, he could I assume credit further funds to the club as he did a while ago by supposedly providing a further £3m loan. The fact he's not done that I find more concerning especially as players (Kamara) appear to be on their way with a significant fee inbound. That said, given the difficulties imposed by The EFL, the window so far has been unbelievably good in my opinion, so far!
His difficulty in providing said loans to cover shortfalls has directly led to the EFL restrictions. We are selling the likes of Kamara and others to fund the current window. And we're at FFP limit anyway so it isn't just about liquidity.
Rumour is that it’ll be suspended - good outcome for me as it’ll mean they still watch us like a hawk. Sign a new winger to replace Kamara. Sign Zambrano, register Puerta and Laaloui and full steam ahead!
Kerching! Anyone know how many loans we have? Could possibly go bring a prem midfielder on loan as the replacement.
Conflating 2 different issues? Hasn't he already been providing funding to cover the short term cash flow issues? (payment of suppliers, payments to Villa & Man City) Then, re. bringing further players in is surely a different matter as we are constrained by PSR plus (allegedly - meaning we don't actually have the details) whatever restrictions are being imposed on us so we can't just bring new players in even he did provide even more funding? He's said all along that it's an issue that he can't spend what he wants to spend.
May I remind those who seem to have forgotten, nobody knows exactly what efl rules we are claimed to have broken, exactly what sanctions we are currently operating under.
I think so too he’ll feel he’s been ****ed about too much, poor fella. Seems we can get a very good fee though considering
He did that interview last season suggesting he'd be leaving for hopefully a bigger club so I think it was always the plan to flip him.
