When it come to Loads of **** I'm sure you know your stuff.

I wasn't just referring to this site, have you seen some of the **** on social media....now that is truly embarrassing.

I agree if a player doesn't want to be here they should be sold but i would hold out for as much as possible rather than let said player dictate too much, that said he is a young player and sometimes young people do stupid things so i don't feel comfortable berating him too much without full details and i could easily forgive him if his mind is changed.

we went from a team that wins most games to a team that is scrapping for every point against insurmountable odds and now we have to try to get the winning mentality back which will take a beat.

How the hell does anyone claim to know if someone is giving 100percent, some people just get off on slagging people of I'm sure.

I think what it boils down to is that some 'fans' want to be the first to claim 'its ****' so they can lord it over others if it comes to pass. i would much rather enjoy the ride 'up or down'.

No I haven't seen **** on social media as not on stuff like Instagram, til tok etc. Just get all my updates etc from news now.
There were definitely a few out there on Tuesday not pulling their weight, AAH was one and I thought Leif looked disinterested and was having a moan at others, which is ok when you are pulling your weight but when you too are ****e....not much room for moaning at others.
I'm honestly not bothered about players like Hutchinson... I thought he was too lightweight for Prem last season and if we can get 40 million, then great!! I'm more than happy to accept a mid table finish if we are in a rebuild for a more sustained push in future seasons, what I don't like is poor body language and a lack of effort, which I felt I saw on Tuesday.

Lack of effort within a game is a tangible thing. Getting your pocket picked for the ball regularly throughout the game without a challenge is a sign of it. Not chasing back is another. Failing to press is another.

That lack of effort on the pitch is really not something we’ve seen much of under McKenna. That makes it stick out like a sore thumb when it does happen.

Even then, you get a 3 out of 10 for just turning up, which is not true of everyone in the squad.

Lack of effort on the training ground is another thing entirely and something we can’t see as supporters. We also can’t tell if a player is sick or playing with an injury or following the manager’s instructions so for an odd game.

But we can see if a player repeatedly doesn’t deliver and the player has to take responsibility.

I can tell you now I get off on none of it but I am not seeing the positive signs that I saw in McKenna’s first campaign when we were not winning but we could still see some progression.

Do you think we've a more fundamental problem that McKenna and his staff have become too complacent and are not properly motivating the squad or with so called "better" players they're not willing to listen to such a young coach?

I'm prepared to give the new guard time to get things together but I think if,by the middle of September, performances haven't improved the natives will get restless.

I don’t think McKenna is complacent at all.

He had a strong together group that was used to winning and in the space of a little over twelve months the only players remaining and available are Davis, Chaplin, Hirst, Woolfy and Walton.

Almost immediately after the high point of the bus parade to Christchurch Park, McKenna flirted with moving to another club and the bond has never been the same since. Clearly there is no sense of loyalty or belonging from anyone at the club.

We have to build another side almost from scratch but this time without Paul Cook’s players and without Brighton’s data platform.

Loyalty is a myth in football,

Players have none to the club
managers have none to the club or players
Fans have none for players or managers

I think it can be cultivated by the culture and it needs to come from the club, manager and leadership. Treating players as though they’re disposable or the manager courting other teams doesn’t do that so why should the players care too much about the badge?
