12:30pm kick-off.


"Referee: Craig Pawson - the South Yorkshire whistler gets our season-opener for a second successive season, having presided over a 1-0 home win against Southampton.

Newcastle have been awarded penalties in the last three away games that Pawson has handled and are unbeaten in each of the last seven away games that he refereed."

So no reason to complain about this amazing ref @Hung Drawn and Quartered

Looks about right

It will be like that for a while unless we get spanked

I'd personally swap Pope for Ramsdale and have Thiaw in, he's had a full pre season already

But I like new players in asap

I believe he can yes, but we all know Howe doesn't change his mind on anything. It's hard to argue with the bloke tbf, so I think Gordon will score and we'll lose..

This way Howe will still be right.
 
I'm surprised that Neave played 90 mins for the U21s last night. Assumed he'd be in the match day squad on Saturday.

Are you ? There's about as much chance of Howe using Neave in the game on Saturday as there is Isak signing a new contract before then.
