Seelt and O9 are not PL RBs at all It'll depend on how much they rate Huggins, Huggins really needs to go play week in week out imo - same for Seelt I could def see a RB or at least a CB whi can cover RB as well coming in
I reckon the team for West Ham will be the team from the last friendly in Germany. And then for Burnley the week after Alderete will come in for Seelt as the only change (injuries and suspension permitting ofc)
As much as RLB has said they would possibly like another 2 or 3 in, is it safe to suggest that IF that doesnt happen it a) wont be for the lack of trying b) wont be for the lack of financial backing c) wont be the absolute end of the world
I think we will sign more, but I think we're right just taking stock for a while before we do. Trimming the squad down in the next 2 weeks will give us a better idea of the size and depth of the squad. The first couple of games will give us a better idea of where we need to strengthen and who in the squad might struggle. I believe that as well as those we would consider surplus to requirements, there might be 1 or 2 others moved on in order to accommodate 3 or 4 new signings, so I expect the last week of the window to be very busy. A lot on here were contemplating us signing between 5 and 10 players at the start of the window. We've already surpassed that and the quality of some of the signings has been staggering. KLD is leaving nothing to chance, so a) and b) of your options will definitely have been covered. No one can account for injuries to key players, so we're going to need a bit of luck in that department, but I'm confident that KLD & Co. will definitely give us the best possible chance of survival come the end of the transfer window.
Years ago there was a spate of burglaries around the Millfield/Deptford area, eventually the ones doing it got caught and the one organising it was a local "friendly, jovial" window cleaner. He'd had a similar routine, chat away, be friendly, get to know people over time and find out when people were away etc. Very similar to what you described there.
Agree, think I've said a few times that's its hard to know how good he might be because of his lack of minutes over the last 4 seasons Hume is clearly 1st choice RB so it's not a high priority position but I'd definitely like someone who is capable of backing him up - maybe that is Huggins
So that gives us a possible first 11 of: Roef Hume Reinildo Ballard Alderete Xhaka Tabli Diarra Mayenda Le Fee Adingra competition as it stands: Patto Huggins Masuaku ( or Cirkin when fit) Seelt or O’Nien when fit No one fit but Alese and Hjelde are LCB Neil Roberts Sadiki Guiu or Wilson Rigg No one fit but Mundle ready by October that’s 26 players as it stands but I’d say competition at CB, RB and on the wing are the obvious gaps because of a combination of injuries and quality rather than numbers. pretty much everyone else available for loan or sale? Maybe also Huggins, Alese, Hjelde if incomings were identified?
