3 Fantastic points. Vorm's save was fantastic. Bargain of the season.

Great result. Heart in my mouth after we scored, we should have got that second before the penalty. At least it puts in good mood for the games to come. Newcastle have lost their defence, so we may get a chance there now.

really needed that 2nd half display, though ive got to say the defence looked wide open at times. i feel a lot better looking at the table now but we ve got to learn the lessons from that game - more urgency going forward and more awareness of the opposition going through the centre of the defence - having said that im very happy and somewhat relieved! Vorm - Superb!!

Congrats, Swansea. I'm gutted but well done.

Here's a thought: if we had loaned you Stockdale in the summer, you wouldn't have signed Vorm AND you would have had to play your reserve keeper today. No penalty save, maybe we hold on to a 1-1 draw rather than letting in the late second. Just a thought.

Great win today. Lita looked strong, Vorm gets my MOTM and, most surprisingly, Sinclair looked up in the 18 yard and noticed some of his team mates had a better chance at goal than him and actually passed to them!

    All hail MICHAEL VORMIDABLE.

Great display today, although the defence was a bit wobbly at times. Still a nice win against a gritty Fulham. Augustein & Moore showing the way by having a go from distance, let`s have some more of this.

Thought I'd make a slightly more articulate reposte now that I'm now free of boxing head.

Huge win for the Swans. By all accounts Fulham gave us a stern examination, and looked like they'd have been happy with a point until they fell behind, which is further testament to how well we're playing at home and the respect that's garnering us from other teams. Will Allen come straight back into the team now? Don't bank on it!

I have totally mixed feelings about this game. Firstly, of course, I'm delighted that we won. With no bias on my part I honestly feel that we could easily have had a penalty and had theirs denied with another ref - history now, thanks to Vorm who put in another immense display. We scored two goals, the last looking like a training ground move and chuffed for Graham.

BUT!!! Yet again we were put under the cosh late on by a Fulham team lacking Murphy and Zamora who make a big difference to their team. During this period they replicated our possession game and we struggled to get the ball. More to the point, they were doing it in our third and at a pace that was in distinct contrast to our slow, measured and almost chess-like style. If our players were able to consistently show the same urgency in the same part of the field we could be pushing top six now!!

Sounds churlish to make these points because at the end of the day we scored twice, they didn't score and for large parts of the game we were comfortable. But to ignore the rest of the game is papering over the cracks and that could be fatal. Let's be honest, when Fulham cranked up the intensity we struggled to stay with them. We couldn't hang on to possession, we were second best to the loose ball and we were brushed of it far too easily when we did win it. We were relying on counter attacks and, fortunately, we got an excellently worked goal to seal things.

Sorry to bang on about fitness again but we did look leggy in the last 15 minutes and I was convinced that Fulham were on for at least one goal. If it is not a fitness issue then we seriously have to consider the ability of some of our players at this level. It is ridiculous that a team that looked so comfortable in the first half (without overly threatening to score) were struggling so badly late on. That said, Lita and Routledge did well; Kemy looked the part and there were a number of good things to take from the game. Not least those oh, so valuable three points. As I said, totally mixed feelings!!

This was the first game I had got to since the Wigan game as I currently live in Portsmouth. We sat in an executive box which was nice and my girlfriends cousin made his return from Injury for Fulham which was nice to see but needless to say we were all nervous incase he scored against us. It was a brilliant spectacle in the second half however the first half was far too static. Like other comments have said in the second half when Fulham ran at us with real pace and passing we looked shaky to say the least. If we could keep the posession and inject more pace into the team we could really become very hard to play against. Our passing is brilliant usually but against Fulham there were periods where it was so slow with little effective movement off the ball. We have some speed merchants in Dyer/Sincs/Routledge who in fairness are often utalised (Dyer v Man UTD) was a good example of that. I think including Moore was a good idea and he did okay but I suspect Dobbie would have done a better job! Another concern was the ease with which Ruiz got through our defence to take that shot which was superbly saved by Vorm. Richards or Caulker really should have picked him up. I'm sure Buck will have picked up on these things and will be trying to rectify them for the next game. Anyway enough moaning, I had a brilliant weekend back in Swansea, staying at The Grand Hotel and then enjoying the Swans from a box and seeing my Girlfriends cousin on the loosing team :p. Don't worry my girlfriend and her Family firmly root for Swansea!!!

Your girlfriend's cousin is Simon Davies? What's he like? He's always come across as a decent bloke when I've seen interviews etc. Is that right, or is he just very good at managing his image! He was a player that I always liked long before he joined us, and nothing that he's done since has made me lessen my opinion of him. Is he as nice a guy as he seems?

Yeh that's right. He seems like a really nice person as are his parents and the rest of the Family. I think he's definitely genuinely the genuine guy that he appears to be! Typically Pembrokeshire (reserved in character). I loved that goal he scored for you in the UEFA cup, can't remember who it was against though. Enjoyed the game agaisnt you and was really glad he didn't score <laugh> !

He scored in the final, but I think you're talking about the semi-final goal against Hamburg. If Messi or someone like that had scored it, the media would have fallen over themselves to declare it as proof of what a football genius he is. I've got a photo of it as the wallpaper on my computer at home - for me, that was the defining moment of our Europa league campaign, even over and above Dempsey's sublime chip to beat Juventus 4-1. Sorry, I couldn't resist another opportunity to write the phrase 'beat Juventus 4-1'.

Good luck for the rest of the season, and say hi to Digger for me next time you see him!
