I genuinely think that "Spursy" has stuck simply because Spurs is a name you can easly tack "y" onto and it sounds good. Seriously. Any number of clubs could do things that "qualify" them for a Spursy title, but simply because you can't make their name into a thing by adding "y", they get away with it.

So Danso has a great long throw. Who knew? Not exactly something that Ange exploited is it. Seems like a great additional weapon to me, and probably lead to a few goals.

I think you should remember that we, Spurs fans, coined the phrase, the media have just joined in.

It was reported that Frank was keen to hold a competition to find out who had the longest throw. It appears that Danso won it. That's good for him because it will always be a reason to play him or bring him on and it looks like it will be good for Spurs.
Is Frank the nearest thing we have had to Venables as an analytical manager? I hope so, because it always gives you an edge if the manager can adopt a tactic for the opposition and it's exciting when he can alter tactics during a game as well.
The job he did at Brentford was outstanding, if he can transpose that to Spurs we will be in for some good times.

The long throw has an element of snobbery to it
(association with peak Pulis-ball etc) . Thinking so
shows a low intelligence wrt its use.

For example, in the 2011 Spurs CL tie at Madrid.

The ball went out around the halfway line.
Bale quickly picked the ball up and made a
huge throw forward. It caught the Madrid
defence cold and resulted in VDV having an
    attempt at goal.

How often will he play though. 3/5 at the back isn't every game and if it is, we lack subs.

I think he’ll play a lot when you factor in injuries, suspensions and rotation with the schedule

Frank even said as much when questioned about it a week or two back. He said how you need to utilise all potential weapons available and that set pieces can make a huge difference in games.

This was why he became my first choice, I teetered with Iraola for a bit but there were too many similarities to Ange that I thought it would’ve been pointless sacking Ange to hire someone almost the same.

Frank’s tactical flexibility makes him a huge asset in my opinion, I’m really happy to have him on board and I hope the club backs him before the window shuts because I think if he’s given more tools he could turn us into a real team, possibly similar to what Poch done.

I feel the same about Glasner and his approach, which is why he was my first choice.

I suppose the litmus test for him will be if they lose players of the calibre of Guehi and Eze (both to us, of course), how will he cope with that?

One of Frank's strongest assets is how he simply carried on whenever a key player left. Glasner hasn't demonstrated that yet.

Totally agree. I think he can achieve some outstanding stuff IF he's supported by you know who...
I have blocks in place for Talks**** across multiple social platforms. Simply can't listen to 'em any more...

Sky are getting just as bad. I put Sky Sports news on earlier as background and they had O’Hara on asking him the top 5 most Spursy moments and if last night was up there.

More importantly, we need to remind ourselves that we didn’t lose the game. We drew, with the supposedly best team in the world. That’s a fantastic achievement.

We simply lost the penalty shootout, which was not surprising.

Another one that my current contract expires with them in March and will then be consigned to the bin.... Unwatchable at the moment, especially the "news" channels.

I'm not saying the Lunatic Fringe are getting even more deranged than usual...but in the space of three months Lucas Bergvall has gone from our POTS to proof we have a weak squad entirely because he's a "kid" on the bench

Genuinely think a chunk of our fanbase would reject Lamine Yamal at this point

The online abuse of players is reprehensible. We should take a proper stand and seek to identify and prosecute where the evidence suffices.
