It's actually taken a good number of months for Peej to get up from the canvass and back to himself, following Newcastle's trophy success, and Liverpool winning the Premier league. The large period of time he went into a very a uncharacteristic silence was a huge error, because he made it abundantly clear to us all that he was feeling too sensitive for banter.
