We don't like taking any risks whatsoever. It's working so far, but if it goes wrong people will start looking at what others clubs brought in more I guess. There's still time and Newcastle probably have eyes elsewhere.
Small observation, but we haven’t paid 60m for Prem experience either and have Gordon (maybe, he’s doubtful) up front!
Skinny ****ing Judas, He wore a Judas hat, He could have been a scouse rat, But we said no, **** that He's going to rot for 3 years, he'll not wear black n white, aaaaaaaaaand when we win the premier league, We'll all say he was ****ing ****e.
Oversight? Have you not been reading the news/media/Internet this summer? #pedro #ekitike #sesko #wissa
The oversight being we couldn’t and didn’t get them so how do we have no strikers ready to play in the first match of the season!
The Ramsey deal will get done soon though. I think he's a really nice signing for us. If he hits pre injury form again he's going to be one of the best players in the league. It's nice work...buying players when their stock is lower than their abilities.
Most Villa fans seem sad to see him go but equally think they are getting a decent fee for him. I guess we'll see how that plays out.
What fans say after a sale of a good player is always filled with a degree of mental gymnastics. These range from 'we're getting a good deal' and right down to the player being limited in at least one area .... If it's a really **** player they use no mental gymnastic and they're seen simply saying 'he's **** ha ha ha' . On the Ramsey sale, the Villains are saying he's a very good player, throwing in stats, injury record, and implying it's a good fee, as their chosen mental gymnastics. Essentially this means we're getting a good player.
I seen something similar. A few saying his injuries over last 2 years have hampered his progress and that with the fee involved it means they could get Assensio back permanantly. Some then stating that he'll (Assensio) have no resale value and despite looking good at times clearly gassed early. They said they miss Ramsey's driving runs and did say if he could keep fit he'll be a hell of a player.
I'm sure he ran all over us a couple of time too...he's definitely a good player and I think he can cover all 3 cms... Actually Joelinton might be under threat as a starter.
He's a bit stronger... Willock tries in that regard but it's like his trapped inside the body of a female.
The situation Newcastle are in means they end up being at the table after the big 6 leave. Livramento is an example where his injury probably put them off, Hall his pace etc etc... With Ramsey it's his injury record. Essentially Newcastle get 1st dibs on some potentially big fish with a significant flaw. We're tempted in and it can pay off.
Yeah, these types of signings are gambles, but calculated gambles. Still relatively young with a good few years ahead, if he can stay injury free.
