I hope it's obvious to the hierarchy that we don't have the squad to do that week in week out.

As discussed Frank lines up depending on the opponents. I wouldn’t be surprised (and hope) if it’s different on Saturday

    How've you been Munse?

It's been a nice quiet summer without your visits.

    We've missed you terribly.

You can't help but be disappointed but we played far better than I expected.

I would expect a system to quickly emerge, but with
deviations from it for the PL/CL usual suspects (re tonight) .
If so, then Frank will be a better Spurs manager than of late.

Honestly, a fully-fit Solanke would have likely seen us close that one out

Instead we had a barely-fit Solanke who didn't have the energy to press high up the pitch like he usually does, and that gave PSG time to build up plays from the back

With the Isak situation it's been little irritating but behind all that we've picked up some decent players here and there.

Looking forward to another season and all the banter it brings.

Laters gents... Once you're done licking your wounds you'll realise you still have that pot:emoticon-0148-yes:

Agree. I just bloody hope he put his hand up. If he didn't then he's dropped a mile in my estimation.

I think it says a lot that we are so disappointed with that result. Played a 100 times better than against Utd and lost.

Overall I'm miffed but hugely encouraged by that performance for the coming season.

However, serious doubts outside the starting 11 week in, week out...

Solanke looked way off the pace for me.

How did we give that one away? Call White Hart Lane quickly! Can't wait.

We've missed him about as much as Isak's missed St James' Park.

Also worth asking if Bissouma would have kept our momentum up if he played

Which he didn't, due to pissing off Frank with his inability to get to training on time

I thought I was in the minority with my views of Solanke, but other than a bloke, who, for the most part presses the opposition defence, I’ve not seen much from him either, to be honest. One decent goal scoring season at Bournemouth, and we were the mugs that paid a fortune for him. Don’t get the hype from many of our fans. We’ve got a few others of a similar ilk, IMO, too.

Palhinha looked like a player who has been in and out of a team for a year. Will take a while to get up to pace. The other two CMs were fantastic.

Back five superb, just one moment they switched off and lost their men for the cross. It was like watching an Ange era goal all over again, but with time that will be coached out of them.

I think towards the end Spence was struggling and without Kudus on the pitch, I don't think we had a single left footed player apart from VDV out there. Almost everything PSG did came down that flank, including the equaliser. Udogie's return will be welcome but it does beg the question: if we don't intend to use Davies unless absolutely necessary, shouldn't we be looking at another LB who'll be better at dealing with overlaps on his stronger foot?

Richarlison probably gave his best performance in a Spurs shirt. A real pain throughout for their defenders.

Kudus looks like some player, I love an attacker who bullies the opposition.

The drop off in quality and fitness from the starters to the subs was a real worry though, and not much will have changed on that front by the weekend.

Spence nullified Hakimi and Kvaratskhelia completely for an hour.
They had to sub off the Georgian and switch formation to get back into it.

I think that he always looks better on the left and we should sign another right-back.
I doubt anyone's going to take Porro's place, but we should aim to give him competition.
Perhaps someone with the physicality that he lacks?
