That plus I don't think Kamara has ever really settled here. Unfortunately maybe for the best he and we move on, and that it's done while there's still enough time left in this window to replace him with someone who really wants to be here and who Sergej wants here.

Hopefully close. Sergej said it was 50/50 and we’d know in 48 hours

I can't believe Dublin is still in a job. The recruitment last season was a mess and it feels like it's been done by someone playing Football Manager.

He wasn't footballing director last summer. It was Tan and Acun calling the shots.

I know his start date was officially later but they were briefing that he'd been doing the work all summer. You can tell he's not played the game

Catching up on the daily rumours....

I won't miss Kamera, I'm sure he's a very nice young man, but he feels like a buzz kill in the room.....

Last night Lunstrom was great, I'd love us to keep Puerta and see what they'd be like as a duo

Beyond that, I'd stick (assuming Williams, the winger and the striker are all able to play) bank some cash and that is an excellent window

That was this summer, before he was confirmed as DOF. You also had Beri Pardo in the mix last summer. Tan didn't leave until the following October. Dublin was in a far more junior role at that point.

This window is the only one where he's been in the top job regarding recruitment, but he probably did take on greater responsibility in last January's window, which most felt was an improvement on the summer.

Puerta is expected to be leaving. And according to the manager we are going for at least another midfielder and left sided forward.

Then you probably have to have another look at a right sided centre half if Ajayi's injury is as bad as feared.

That does feel like excuses to hide the reality. Getting £30m in the bank and signing Bedia, Pedro, Joseph and Burstow as the striker options is criminal.
The Zambrano & Puerta situations have turned farcical, the churn of players has once again been ridiculous and we've signed 2 injury prone centre halves to replace 2 that were always fit and one of those new signings has lasted just one game.

    I’ll just pop this here
New head of recruitment Jared Dublin says he's expecting a busy end to the transfer window as Hull City look to add the finishing touches to their squad.

City had signed six players in the summer transfer window before Friday's hat-trick of Charlie Hughes, Mason Burstow and Oscar Zambrano all saw their movies confirmed taking the total tally to nine, but the Tigers know they must make more additions if they're to give Tim Walter the tools capable of challenging for a place in the play-offs, particularly in the front third of the pitch.

Dublin, the former head of recruitment at Stoke City, will play a key role in bringing in new recruits between now and 11pm on August 30, and says things will be hectic as he gets to grips with his new role at the MKM Stadium having arrived from the Potteries.

“I’m pleased to be here and really excited about the journey to come. From speaking to Acun and Tan, the ambition of the club is clear for all to see and their passion was a real selling point for me," the American said.

“This is an exciting football project with proper ambition and structure in place. There’s real alignment from top to bottom. That was a big part in me deciding this was the right project for me moving forward.

"Promotion is the overall aim and we're going to build to get there. The drive to get there is clear and we're all on the same page. We will aim to build a squad that has the appropriate balance of young, hungry players with Premier League potential and experienced Championship players that can continue to push the club forward.

"I'm expecting an exciting and very busy few weeks, having already secured a few key players last week. Most important is how we can deliver upon the objectives of the head coach and the chairman in the short, medium and long term.

Yeah but transfers are super simple we should have just signed a bunch of kids, we'd be able to sell them for 20m each now.
