Mrs A and I are booked to go to Beverley for a meal and a few beers tomorrow. Just realised Beverley races is on with the ladies day today. I’ve heard Beverley can get very busy and unpleasant when racing is on. Anyone here in the know?
Take a tin hat..... Only kidding...No idea, but I guess the pubs are rammed. My sister and brother in law live in Bev. They tend to avoid going into town on race days....Make of that what you will.
You'll get a drink, but I doubt if it will be quiet...Unless you go, say to that pub with the thatched roof in Woodmansey.
When I lived there on race day, just avoided 'town', especially as the day progressed and the drunken massess descendend. Thursday should be 'quiet', no markets on, though children off school! Parking if up to 3 hours, Tesco car park is free, if not Flemingate multistory is not expensive and drags you to a different bit of Beverley (there was roadworks the other week) Enjoy your day regardless
Hadn’t got that far yet! Was booked in at Tomahawk, so anywhere near there. We’ve cancelled that plan, maybe going to Leeds instead.
If you want to watch pissed up Wesson ladies lying in the streets with their legs at a quarter to three, ladies day in Bev is the place to be.
Thing is can you find a lady on ladies day? Or is it just a load of old boilers and slappers getting pissed on Eggnog?
Every picture tells a story... And a lot of pop ups https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/wha...ry/beverley-ladies-day-2025-pictures-10422080
Say what you like about Ladies' Days but without them the bottom would fall out of the titfer market and no mistake.
Last time i was in bev for "ladies day" it was horrendous....full of slags dressed like slags pissing in doorways like hosses.....classy day out
