So on a media lpoint of view we have went from looking at a £40-50m striker in Muniz to a £30m player in Dovbjk and been sniffing around £20+m pound strikers then have ended up with 2 freebies in Nmecha and D.Calvert Lewin. wtf
I really hope these are squad players or cover as these don't keep us up sorry.
DCL is not the player he was and he wasn't really that good. He's now broken from the waist down.
Haven't we learned from injury records from Bamford-Augustin etc.
Both players have very poor injury stats Why why why? Really sounds of desperation.
I'm trying to stay positive and still hope a proper gunslinger is in the pipeline but neither of these fill me with confidence at all.
hoping both are replacements for Bamford and Joseph
Baaaahhhh lets see the window isn't closed yet.

Agree with nearly all that but Calvert-Lewin at his best was a very very good Premier League striker.

That was about 5 or 6 years ago though.

You never know, he might do okay.

Let’s be honest we’re obviously going down our list, he has PL experience, is a free transfer and if fit should prove to be very useful. If he scores 5-10 this season and we stay up it’s a good bit of business.

We dont stay up with a striker scoring 5 goals, we haven’t even replaced the 10 goals of Solomon yet, and we dint know if Piroe can hack it in the prem yet. This is one massive gamble and if there is no stardust signing forget it game over

Evening all. Costs nothing except high wages. I hope he's replacing Joseph and we get another one in but we will need dominos to fall I think.
I'm very positive but some players work better in different systems. He's spent a few year under Sean Dyche, Farkeball could suit him better.
He's a very experienced PL striker who could also help Piroe develop.
He's a calm finisher who is good in the air. I don't think we struggle to create chances as much as we struggle to finish the chances we create. He will certainly help imo.
As I said, I'm an optimist.

Please explain how Leeds United "allowed" the men responsible for transfers to leave as a new transfer window opened.

You make it sound like we had a choice whether they left or not.

I've been reading an Everton forum:

"Impartially I am interested to see how he shapes up in a different team.
I had about given up on him as a prem finisher, my feeling was that his role with Sean Dyche frustrated his best efforts, and we were done with each other.
I wont begrudge him a second coming, just not against us please."
Writing in the Times a while back, Cascarino pointed out that latterly DCL was playing like a player carrying an injury. He wasn't putting himself about any more as maybe he did in his prime.
This is one reason why there were lots of dry eyes in the McNulty household once DCL decided to move on.

I wonder how easily he will pass his medical? If he does play against us and is involved in a one-on-one, a star will rise in the East if he scores. "

    "
Apart from last season I always thought that Dominic pulled his weight for the Blues in different positions for the team.
I wish him well and hope he continues to operate in the premier league, I don’t care if he scores against us next Monday as long as we win"

    "
I like the guy and wish him well.
I also understood why he would want a change given the crap football that he got to 'spearhead' for so long.

I was convinced he must have had an overseas deal tied up when he announced his departure. As it is, he's taken a backward step at a time when Everton have added the creative players he must have craved when he was in blue.

Just odd. But good luck to him, after Monday. "

Who do to think will score against us, I'll give you a clue, it will be on Monday, no, it will be a former player, yes correct Mr grass is always greener on the other side, DLC. I still can't understand why he left, guarenteed start at Everton, regardless if he was scoring or not. He was a very important part of the team.
The money can't be that much that it would make a difference to him, surely.

Wish he had stayed and I hope he does well, but not against us.

Christy, I'm thinking he's saying, why the fk didn't I stay at Everton.

Which strikers does anybody think Leeds have missed out on that:

    1. You wanted Leeds to sign
    2. That Leeds didn't make a hard enough attempt to sign (in your opinion).

    Overheard in the Leeds boardroom:

Marath, "Daniel, we've been listening to the fans. They've been asking for a Dominic who falls. Well, good news, we've found this guy Calvert -Lewin who seems to fall over a lot and hurt himself so we've signed him."
Farke looks in disgust, "the fans are waiting for the dominos to fall so you sign someone fkg decent for me, not another donkey. We already have one of them."

Sorry, I will get my coat.
