What the **** do you want the man to do...?.... you want to buy something, you havent got the money to do it and we're talking telephone numbers, but you try to hatch a plan to make it work, selling off other assets etc... unfortunately someone comes in with an even higher offer than the one you might have agreed to... **** happens... its football transfers FFS.. Of course, you won't praise him for what he's managed to do under constraint... and dont hit me with your default 'it was his fault anyway'
Well if reports are true we was watching Cherif Ndiaye ( he might be Frigan good) then Puerta and Abu cover that €7m. As long as restriction lifted.
To be fair if we'd bid round the €10m mark for any player you'd have been first in the queue to slate him for being irresponsible.
Maybe a coincidence but it seems interesting timing that a move for Kamara is happening now just as we've got two signings waiting for EFL approval. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kamara's departure being the trigger for our next wave of signings to go through like how Jones and McLoughlin leaving seemed to trigger Ndala, Lundstram, McBurnie and Gelhardt's moves in quick succession.
We had a deal to sign Frigan before the fee restriction and the fee restriction was Acun’s fault. What would I praise him for anyway? As for what I want him to do, I want him to **** off and sell the club.
We had a deal agreed to sign him for just over £6M. I was happy with that and you can go back and check my posts for proof. Frigan’s already said in interviews that he’d be a Hull City player by now if it wasn’t for the fee restriction.
I'm sure it isn't a coincidence. The club seems to be working to a plan which has likely been in place for some time and, given our apparent predicament, it's doing us fairly well so far imo.
I’m not too bothered about Frigan, he’d just have been yet another Hull City striker that comes in to a wave of excitement to then never score.
We do not want to be spending £7m on this guy, unbelievable waste of money unless he scores 20+ in his first season. Very little resale value at his age and a huge financial risk.
He's got 44 goals and 14 assists in 94 appearances across the last two seasons in the Serbian top flight, so a pretty fearsome goal scoring record. He played in Turkey, so naturally we're linked. €7m is a hell of a lot though and I can't see us paying that plus wages without the EFL having a meltdown.
I don't see why we'd court McBurnie all summer and sign Destan to then want to add another striker who presumably would want to be first choice?
