    My day would be:
05.00 Wake for fifteenth time..still mildly optomistic.
08.00 Tenth coffee...bit of doubt creeping in
11.00 Got sofa ready. Drinks to hand.
12.55 Five minutes to kick off and Saints still haven't scored!!!
13.20 Now on stairs watching through banisters
    13.35 On landing
13.40 Pompey score...now under duvet, wondering why I ever supported such a stupid team. Spend rest of match trying to decide if my son's failure to text me is good or bad.
14.45 Wondering how much extra time they are playing.
14.50 Give in, turn on TV. Saints winning 2.1, but Pompey throwing everything at KD.
14.51 Twenty seconds to play. Jos trips a Pompey player in box. Ref looks.............................................................

    FACTS:

    - If Pompey beat Saints I will never hear the end of it from my mates and most Pompey yobs will be saying things like 'We beat the f****** Sc*m' and treating it like tey've just won the cup <doh> Pathetic!

    - If Saints beat Pompey then Pompey fans will treat it like another game and their defence will be either, 'We were robbed' or 'We were never going to win...' <laugh>

I've got my uni mate down for this one. Other than a couple outbursts during the saints v man u game he's yet to see me seriously get into my football. I think the atmosphere in the pub on sunday might scar him for life. If we lose I'll be inconsolable, while if we win I'll be going on about it for months :)

Honestly think we'll lose this one tho sadly...Pompey have a great home for and we've been faltering too much of late. 2-0

I always had two rules concerning football matches:

    1. Never bet on a friendly
    2. Never bet on a derby game as they are simply too unpredictable and form counts for nothing

Following our last league visit to Pompey, I have introduced a third:

    3. Do not sit within five feet of anything that can be propelled with any decent velocity at a plasma TV unless you have a spare grand kicking about.....

    2-2

I can't see us reversing our recent form on this one, whilst I would gladly grasp a draw I have the horrible feeling we may have to swallow a defeat, 2-1 to Poopey. Uggh that leaves a bitter taste.

On a positive note I think we will still be top, c'mon the Tykes!

Yeah, that's really good. So good in fact that I'm going to have to steal it, and pass it around to a couple of Saints supporting mates.

I have a gut feeling we will win with an adam special. Noticeable that the Skates have been very quiet on this board so far this week and particularly today. Perhaps they realise they are going to lose!

Please do elaborate on how, in any scenario, in any lifetime, could that ever be considered a flaw..? ;)

Fatletiss... absolutely classic post. Can't stop laughing!

I don't know how I'm going to cope watching it on TV. My neighbours are going to hear a LOT of noise.
Last time i watched a game on TV i gave my Dad whiplash when we scored by rugby tackling him! His old bones aren't what they used to be.
I just hope that the dog isn't in the same room if/when we score. Couldn't be dealing with cleaning up mashed spaniel.

It would appear that my earlier appreciation of this didn't post so you'd best have it now! Belter Fats.

It might seem cynical of me, but I don't like any advertising, in most cases. I'll give you the odd superbly made advert, or the rare simple one with a fantastic idea. But generally, no. If advertising was banned I'm sure I'd be just a tad happier than I already am. I realise things like commercial TV rely on the income, but as I very rarely watch TV, and probably haven't regularly watched commerical TV in years, I'd be happy to see it all gone. I don't mean to come across as a killjoy, Qwerty, but the reason why I gave up regularly watching TV was that I realised I was living my life away sat on my arse and doing very little. Now I do a lot. Besides, it's a personal thing between me and the commercial world. ;)
