Not something I'd thought about but you could be onto something. It's possible as you say that Mitchell didn't address his worries or concerns, or maybe the gentleman's agreement to leave was with Mitchell and the mags are going back on that. That could be why it's such a mess. Mitchell wasn't even there a year, so it's possible he could have created a mess by knocking back or not following through with something already partially set up or agreed, agreed something without checking with others how it would impact them, that he ignored certain issues as not important until it was too late or that the place was that dysfunctional behind the scenes with power struggles he couldn't implement much before he left and the mess has exploded from there. None are a good look for them or him.
That can't be true man? What makes Wor Alan think I know what will sort this out, I'll have a chat with him! The ****ing daft bastard, maybe this over inflated opinion of his own standing with other professional players explains why he didnt make it as a manager? Isak is another pro not a fan why would he be arsed about a player who retired when he was about 6? Like **** off ya daft ****! Its nearly as deluded as Gazza turning up to sort out wor Raul who he knew "on the doors"!
If I was Shearer on the line, Isak would probably hang up by mistake after hearing Shearer's droning, monotonous voice and thinking it was a dialling tone...
Can imagine how the conversation would have went ... "Hi Mr Isak it's Alun Sheerar here and wanted to give you a bit of advice, just because it's Liverpool doesn't mean you will win more trophies. I had the chance to join a bigger club when younger and decided to sign for Newcastle instead of Manchester United. It turned out well for me. How many trophies did I win? Well, erm, like I say that's not the point. Isak? Hello? He's gone"
And his wedding attire, funeral suit, metro centre best outfit, airport travelling gear, work clothes as well as his day to day comfy clothes
Sky just described Shearer as a Newcastle legend which shows just much they push these ludicrous scenarios. Shearer was a legend before he ever played for Newcastle ... title winner, England regular, record holder. When he played at Newcastle he his charisma would save them but relegated them instead. This current pantomime is typical of Newcastle and how their self image in ten times the reality. Happily for us it is, however, absolutely hilarious. If you have time there's a full record of all of his achievements, with Newcastle, below .... Newcastle United FA Cup runner-up: 1997–98,[173] 1998–99[174]

A few of my mates follow that lot. Two of them stopped going when they became Saudi Utd, though one was sick of going to football anyway. This one says that he has noticed, in bits of film and in pictures that there has long been a look of a frosty relationship between Isak and Howe. Can't say I've noticed or would bother looking. But he would, and it would make sense. Someone has been telling porkies to the player, Howe is in the middle and clearly has no say in the matter.
Shearer seems to be suffering from some Lineker inspired delusion that he has some important role to play. When MOTD arrives on Saturday night, people will realise the mediocrity they've been paying well over the odds for over long, long years.
PSR rules, which they keep blaming, state a maximum of £105m in losses over a three year period. So, effectively, because the new owners came in and spent loads, they now can’t spend loads, but the “better” players they’ve been in for have literally turned them down!! Not sure there has been a fanbase meltdown like this ever!
