West Ham have a 3086 allocation. It’ll be great to see away ends packed out again at the SoL

Always loud as well West Ham, good fans.

I actually even like the bubbles ****. One Sunday we had them at Upton Park and it was a one of those ‘fair play’ moments the emotion of it.

We got pumped. We battered them Kenwyne was immense but Rob Green had one of them games he had every now and then where he would have saved a 747 coming at him.

Kenwyne scored eventually but we lost 3-1.

Digressing from the bubbles but that’s why I quite like it.

I can remember the game mate. Bellamy scored for WHU. He had some brilliant games against us over the years for various clubs

We were class that day mate was a reet kick in the bollocks.

I also recall being ungodly hungover for graft the Monday as well, to the point I considered ****ting myself to get sent home.

Going to be quite the occasion. Really looking forward to taking the boyo and meeting my brother in our seats. Think the youngin will see the stadium in a complete different light with the PL crowd and atmosphere.

Will be happy with any point on the board for our first fixture.

I think a tight and cagey game which may get a bit scruffy at times, but I will have us 2-0 with an early strike to get the blood pumping. And a second half goal to settle the nerves.

Nice one RTG. It gets real this weekend. Might still need a bit time for the new lads to gel so I've gone for a draw but would love a win obviously. Ha'way the Lads.

Great thread again RTB. It's just unreal but it's here. Can't wait for it to start. The city will be bouncing the stadium absolutely rocking and I'm going for a fast start and a couple of early goals before WHU pull 1 back . A tense few minutes before a cracker from xhaka seals the points. Haway the lads and keep the faith lads and lasses.

Great thread RTB. My team is the same as yours.

Have absolutely no idea what to expect. Wouldn’t surprise me if we won, or if we were well beat. I’d just like to leave the game thinking we have something to work with this season and we’re going to have a chance.

No matter the result, that build up to kick off is going to be pretty special up to the first whistle. A lot of pain and some class memories have led to this point. Would be absolutely incredible to get a win. Got to try and get that first win as quick as possible and get the belief going.

    Haway the lads!

    2008?

I was back in London for a week or so. We were all ower them to start and couldn’t believe Kenwyne didn’t bag several that day. Sure he hit the post/crossbar. Twas a Sunday I am sure, I was on the razz round Brixton that day, as you do.

    Anyway, sense a 1:1.
Obviously would like a win, but not sure we have all the pieces kicking and screaming yet.
Just hope we have a good go at it

I’m thinking the same. Loads of quality still in that West Ham side. Bowen will be a huge threat and we’ll have to watch Ward-Prowse with his set plays!

Fantastic start to the new season RTB. Thank You!

I think the crowd will carry the lads through, like they did against Coventry and Sheff Utd. I'm going for a tentative game with a late Ballard winner for the Lads. We've got to stick with them through thick and thin. They need us!

Can't wait to get back in the stadium on Saturday. HTL!!!

Class to have the match threads back and especially so with a Prem one after so long.

This match is giving me spurs opening day vibes where we won 1-0, same again for me.
