It’s hardly surprising our attack has been **** in both games. Against Wrexham we played our wide players with a short striker who doesn’t suit being a lone striker and pumping in lots of crosses despite a lack of height. Today we played no wingers and 3 players that all want to play central. Hope we settle on something with the attacking players we have available that is a little more logical against Ipswich. Got to have some balance.

 

Don't judge anything until September would be my thoughts (and I've said it plenty before).

Other than BBD. He's just ****ing awful.

Disappointing that we didn't push on after the goal. Pretty lacklustre throughout really with our one moment of quality winning it for us..

And, iirc, he only got started after scoring against us at the Dell, so maybe Downs needs to pop an OG into our net and then he’ll be off and running.

 

Downs really needs more time before we make any accurate judgements on him.

Yeah I'm not reading too much into it or anything. Just calling what I saw tonight which was awful.

The only slight concern I have is that I've not seen much of the pressing that Still apparently likes in his teams. Seem to be standing off teams so far.

To be expected TBH. I think he's got all the attributes to be a good player, a goal will settle him down a lot.

Yep with a bit more composure he could have had 2 goals already. As someone else said earlier, he looks like he’s trying too hard.
