Merci might be better, lol. Two assists so far as he cuts in beating defenders. The first for Josh was excellent. He looked good in preseason but he's been even better tonight. Josh took the goal well, passing the ball inside the post rather than trying to smash it.

 

He's quick with the ball at his feet. He might have passed to Sarge later on but took the shot himself. No criticism though. I liked the smile on Diallo's face even if he missed the shot.

 

If the starting eleven against Charlton on Saturday is anything to go by, yes, very much second string.

Interesting also to read that Watford are attempting to play and that serves us best. Now where have I heard that before?

 

Giorgi Chakvetadze is recovering from a foot injury; not expected back until September. If he were playing I don't think Fisher and Medic would be having quite such a comfortable evening.
