But if I’m honest if I owned a premier league club and I could ensure top 17 in perpetuity with the odd scare of relegation (the teams coming up usually go down and back up again) I would vote yes to any rule thrown in front of me. Because being in the PL is worth it.

People have started to think there's some kind of collusion between clubs to stop Newcastle. It's all bollocks it's just that we're not as attractive a club as the big clubs and the other clubs like Palace are direct competition. I think some Newcastle fans have put themselves in a big 7, but in reality we're in competition with the other 14. We've had a couple of good seasons nothing more and we'll have really bad one's too.
