To keep pressure on the big boys. We're back down to fifth now so we really need another win. We can easily do it. Have to keep Balotelli quite above all others.
They do not keep clean sheets, do they. That must be a worry for them. Hopefully we will expose that with our counter attacking skills.
We are within two points of the Spuds now so we HAVE made up ground this weekend. If the table read: Man U/ Man C, Chelsea and Arsenal at the end of the season, I would not be complaining too much.
" they really are **** " Yeah i can see by their terrible position in the league and massive goal difference. yeah this stuff is hilarious, thats the FIRST game they have lost all season . Did you see they were down to 10 men and they had a nightmare of a game , we ALL have them , it doesnt mean they have collapsed . I like your optimism but lets not be stupidly overconfident .
exactly , 2 teams above have dropped points this weekend , thats great , now lets make sure we keep up the fight and not do a spurs.
Well if your basing things on one game, based on our 8-2 and citys 6-1, city should smash us about 24-0
If we beat City on their own turf, it would send out a clear message to the football world. Who would have thought that we would score 5 at the Bridge? Anything is possible, specially in the current form we are in. We should get our away fans to play/sing the Champions League anthem just before the game, the City players might get shaky knees and bottle it PS: It would be ridiculous if Yaya Toure wasn't suspended.
No, we won't. Chelsea winning was the worst possible result for us. Man City will now come at us on the bounce back, and will likely hammer us. Let's be realistic about it.
We won there last season 0-3 We've definitley got what it takes - if we can win 3-5 at Chelsea, then we can win at City. I think it's going to be a belter .... City 2-3 Arsenal for me
Our youngsters gave them a good game and they had a number of first team players playing, Our first team can beat them but its all dependent on midfield battle, Chelsea managed to push them back in the second half by winning many balls in the middle which in turn cut off their strikers chances. If we do the same and hit them on the break we have the players capable of scoring and really punish their defence.
I've heard people say that too many times ... "we won there last season, we've done ok against them in the past, etc etc" ... do those people not realise the difference between the Manchester City on the outside of the Champions League places last season and the one that's favourite to win the title this season? The most likely result is us losing. By at least a 2 goal margin. Can we just accept that so there's no disappointed/angry posts floating around when we don't come away with three points?
It's hard to say how the defeat will effect City. Either they will come out fighting or it will effect their confidence. We have to play like we did against Chelsea to stand a chance.
We've got a chance. Every game is a new opportunity. We are getting better, they are now beatable. They now have pressure to prove they can bounce back. Its getting cold, wet and pitches are worse...... Come on Arsenal !!!!!
The plus points I see are this: * Clichy is suspended. He knows Theo inside out so that can only be a good thing. * Aura of invincibility is now pierced. Time to see if they will step up to earn their pay cheques or if they continue to play like a team of overpaid mercenaries as they did for 60 minutes last night. * We're in great form and have great players. People seem to be forgetting this. * We have nothing to lose. On paper everyone is expecting a City backlash and they're also at home = no pressure on us. * If there is any justice then Toure will be suspended for his disgraceful attitude in the game. Obviously there are quite a few negetive points but I don't want to talk about those!
i might be inclined to accept a point now too if it was on offer. hahahhahahahahah it will either be " yay ! " or "oh sh1te " . we shall see.
