It really isn't. What profit? The club is making a huge loss. They are definitely prioritising success over profit. ENIC don't have a big enough balance sheet to renegotiate the loans.

The club's under capitalised. It has been for years. Additional investment is badly needed...even COYS Daniel has said as much.

Of course, the likelihood is that they'll seek the minimum amount to keep developing, without prioritising sporting success, but it clearly needs pointing out, to some, that is a CHOICE

The problem is that the only new capital that would make a difference to spend would be enough to pay off the stadium loans plus whatever we are going to spend. That means essentially asking a new investor to put in £1.2b of which the majority is to be used to pay off loans at 4%. Proper investors are looking for returns of 10% minimum a year for this sort of investment. Even if we spent the remaining money amazingly well and won the League and Champions League in short order I can't see where the new investor is making anywhere near that return.

Nabbed the idea from Twitter but someone highlighted that we once had DESK (Dele, Eriksen, Son and Kane) and if we do indeed sign Eze and Savinho we will again have DESK (Dom, Eze, Savinho and Kudus).

I can’t help but feel Eze is going to be the “we tried” of 2025’s summer but I’d love to be wrong.

Savinho I can probably see happening, though I hope my previous statement about him a few months back ends up leaving egg on my face!

Rumours that we've offered £60m for Eze.

If true, Daniel is extracting the Michael.

I would be shocked, stunned and amazed if there wasn't 20% growth from fairly low hanging fruit.

The stadium naming rights nonsense has gone on long enough. Our 'safety first' Mr Micawber ways have made CL qualification less likely, season by season. Our academy produces nigh on bugger all in terms of squad members and player sales.

If we became regular winners, we'd increase our worldwide appeal. Foreign fans want winners and star players - so do sponsors. They don't want small potatoes and limited ambitions.

Sugar failed to see the future of the PL and we were left in a ditch. Levy is in danger of seeing us left behind again, as the game moves beyond his vision and ambition...

...unless the money is put in...see CK's post.

NO MORE SMALL THINKING. WE ARE A BIG CLUB, LET'S ****ING START ACTING LIKE ONE!!

It’s a good starting point. Palace wanted £68million didn’t they? Call it £65million and have him ready for the weekend :emoticon-0100-smile

there’s been talk of protests at the Burnley game, which makes it all a little too convenient that suddenly we’re in for 2 x £60m players. Incredible timing…

I’ll believe it when I see it. And I’m happy eat my own words, but I feel like we’ve been here before, several times. - just like a couple of months ago when there were planned protests, and suddenly news broke of investment into the club from the Middle East…

There's also been widespread derision of the "protest" due to it being the same five bellends from last season with the cheapest banner they could buy acting like they're the Khmer Rouge again

A manager must have a say on whether any
"intangibles" of a candidate could be detrimental
to the squad as a whole.

If a manager is aware of the on-pitch performance
traits of players that the club may not be
considering, then that is a bonus.
