I don't know how many seasons in a row we haven't been well stocked at both RB and LB. I don't know what it is with the club but we don't seem to take those two positions very seriously.
If I remember right this contract extension was also announced with big balava in that Fans Forum last autumn where they also announced Marti/Calm contract extensions. Think JCS got injured again just a couple of days later and hasn't played since!
Instead of talking about Ba, Kone, et al, can't we just sign them before other clubs come in for them? I see the Korean lad is now at Pompey but no great loss in my eyes, too lightweight.
The club hasn't talked about signing Kone, it's all online gossip. There were supposedly as many as 10 clubs already interested in signing him, so it's not as if our interest has suddenly alerted other clubs. If we do wind up signing him it will be a bit of a coup.

And Kolli, then send Sutton on loan, although I thought Sutton and Burrell played well last night, brought in a lot of pace last night which we have been lacking
With the obvious caveat they’ll all be injured in about a month, I expect Kone is seen as a starter and Burrell as a sub. An outside chance Kone goes off to AFCoN too. It seems Kolli is seen as a wide player now which I think is his best bet. It’s nice to have options (not you, Zan).
