Great post, Our branch has had to organise a second coach for the West Ham game, due to demand for seats. Memberships for this season are already looking at record numbers for us and a big increase in u16 and family members. As we all said at the meeting last night, no one expected what the club have done this summer and we have to enjoy this season, look forward to the challenges ahead and give the players all the support we can

There is a great buzz around the club as a whole at the minute. The pubs and clubs should have a great atmosphere before the game next Saturday, especially with it being a 3pm kick off.
All the attention seems to be on signings and outgoings, very little mention of the match … … I think it’ll really hit us when we wake up on the morning of the 16th.
My stomach is upside down now!!.......the morning of the 16th is going to require serious quantities of liquid substances to keep me from internal combustion!
Really buzzing about this game, it’s going to be a fantastic occasion for us all, club, team, support staff, management, owners and us fans. Perfect choice of music that, the owners have certainly risen to the challenge, I’m sure the players will, then it’s down to us to make the SOL a cauldron of sound and support for the lads. Whatever happens in the game, though I’m confident, I’ll be there until the last player has left the field to cheer our wonderful squad, I hope others will do the same. I’m also planning on getting to Sunderland early to join in the festivities before hand, looking forward to meeting up again Smug.
Nervousness has been there since Wembley, increased when fixture list came out. It has been maintained by the astonishing business we have done so far in the transfer market. Now the next 10 days or so are going to be pleasantly unbearable with medicinal wine to be necessary for sleep. I won't be able to get to SOL but there is going to be some atmosphere there. I trust you will all enjoy it. I want to be higher than seventh next season and continue to break records after that. Been waiting since 1958 for this.

Surely the club shop will need to know for players names & numbers. I don't buy merchandising so I don't know tbh ... ... can people order the numbers online for shirts, etc.
Certain players numbers are on the website so assume they’re set in stone, think reinildo has taken ba’s number too, I wouldn’t chance it personally, I mean I’m a 33 year old man I wouldn’t get a name on a top anyway but for those that do probably best to wait
The best shirt I ever saw was at Old Trafford when we went for the League Cup semi-final … … a Chinese lad had ‘LOONEY’ on the back of his Man Utd jersey
