Its reported that he has a £1.2 million release clause for a Premier league club only.

Millwall turned down a £3.5 million offer from Sassuolo this week. We could sign him for 1.2 million, give him half a million sign on fee and sell him the next day and still double our money.

 

Is he actually good though? I keep seeing him mentioned but I don’t ever remember playing Millwall and thinking he’s a stand out solid player.

He was at Spurs for a few years. A squad player with them with 50 first team appearances. Predominantly a centre back. He's one of the better ones in the Championship and has decent pace. He can play right back and has played left back on the odd occasion. He would be a good squad addition and in my opinion is better than Bornauw.

 

The more I think about things, the more Ben Doak looks a really good signing.

 

As some of you may know my wife is Ukrainian and I've told her to keep me updated on the ukrainain sports news of Artem Dovbyk.
He's a big thing in Ukraine so people like to hear about him. hence she will support Leeds if we sign him lol.
I asked her when i got home if any news she said today 3 Premier League have sounded him out today. West Ham,Leeds,Sunderland.
She said as she read it out to me we have offered 36M Euro but Roma want £40M Euro.
Don't shoot the messenger she knows fek all about football but I said who looked the frontrunner in the article she said us.

 

Begs the question, if we’re serious why not just offer the additional €4 million if you’re willing to go to 36 million?

 

Exactly, if he’s good enough and worth 36m Euro and they want 40m why try and chip a bit off.

 

The real question is why anyone would trust a Ukrainian newspaper telling us we offered €36 million. Its more likely we haven't put an offer in at all. Nothing of the sort has come out this end.

Exactly the same with all the other stories in the last week. There's nothing of any substance coming out regarding our next signing. Just journalists guessing who we might go for next.

In the interests of fairness, it seems a reasonable link. We obviously have the money (we tried similar money for Paixão) and we need a striker. Dovbyk might be available. 2+2=4 but he will have eyes on a less risky project and would likely turn us down at the moment.

The news coming locally suggests Fulham are in the market for a striker with Muniz in his last year. If that happens, Leeds will get Muniz.

 

Also she said Ariy Yarmolenko is telling him to push for Wet Spam. obviously he would having played for them.

Well, it's the Leeds board and it's the transfer thread. Monteiro is a Leeds player and he has been sold to a Portuguese club.
