Good point. Either way it should be reassuring to the EFL that we can instantly bring in £0.5 million to help cover the forthcoming fees due to clubs.

Wednesday also valuing their keeper at £8million. So what would that make Pandur?

That should also be reassuring to the EFL that we have two assets that we could sell to cover all future fees due.

Maybe less, as they’re bidding in € not £ ?

6 million euros is currently £5,185,680.00 sterling, so definitely money to be made

I think that's likely now regardless. He can't play deeper, so he's competing with Gelhardt who should play most games. Then potentially Laalaoui once registered?

You could probably recoup a fee for Palmer (£500kish?) and he'll be on a decent wage. Would make sense to ship for PSR reasons.

Him and Puerta being sold would hopefully open up the Zambrano and Frigan deals if restrictions are lifted/suspended.

Id say we’d probably be looking at between 500k and £1.5million profit.

…and keepers peak around 28-ish. They wouldn’t have to wait as long for Pandur to peak :emoticon-0142-happy

I expected him to be loaned to a prem team. He looked ready for that level when he played last season.

That video montage was rubbish though. They obviously just included every time he touched the ball, including long hopeful punts upfield or clearances into the stands.

    Is this gimp any good?

If sheff wed are our competition for his signature, its hardly worth the loan spot.

Looked like a good player when I've seen him for Man U. Should easily be good enough for us.

My God, I am well aware. Bringing up a former player just to slate him when he wasn't part of the conversation just seems a mean dig for no other reason than a cheap laugh. Allsop was hounded out of the club by the owner and clearly a chunk of fans don't rate him, but he's still a former player who was our keeper when we had our highest finish in years. Just seems weird that people are still keen to dig the boot in for a cheap laugh years later.

Happens all the time on here with loads of different players from the past but people don't come running in defending them in those instances. Why is Allsop taboo? As for years ago, it was the season before the one we've just finished. I find it weird people seem to get annoyed by comments about him to the point they'll 'get all offended'.

Because unlike someone like a Ben Arfa or Bullard who are still regularly brought up as examples of lazy players, for instance, Allsop gave his all for the club and while perhaps not being to the level people wanted, there are plenty like that who don't get slated or the butt of back handed comments. For example, when we try to sign a left back I don't see any mocking comments about Elder's level of ability, or Honeyman if we were looking at midfielders, or Danny Graham if we're talking strikers. I find it weirder that he's clearly still on some people's minds when there was a comment about clubs being interested in Pandur. I brought up Pandur's average form to finish last season and people seemed to get more offended by that.

It does happen though. A few have knocked Elder specifically. Pandur won multiple plaudits last season.
