Even if hypothetically we COULD or WOULD spend £60m on Openda. There's not a chance in hell a deal of that profile or value is kept quiet.

Welbeck would probably be a few million at most. And Brighton and us have history of keeping things very quiet between us. I can 100% see it being Welbeck.

mind you, I'd be surprised if RLB threw somebody straight in. especially considering how important the striker is to our press. Knowing when to press and when to sit etc. Although somebody like Welbeck would probably pick that up in a single session

 

Really surprised it’s a striker mind with Mayendas new deal and Guius loan. Unless Mayenda will be shifted to the right.

I wasn’t that interested in another striker signing but get most will want someone that is less of a risk than Guiu and Mayenda.

I’d like another winger to take the load off adingra and talbi but happy with where the squad is getting too

Its a weird one because I'd be happy with Dovbyk, Openda or Welbeck. Like the first two are obviously preferable but I've always loved Welbeck and I think he's got another few years left.

 

That would make sense mate although be a bit unfortunate. Seems a good character and could have an impact.
