I told you that City are going to lose their unbeaten run to Chelsea.

<peacedove>Last week I predicted that Manchester City are going to end their
unbeaten run at Chelsea. All good things come to an end, they supposed to have ended their
unbeaten run at Anfield, but they were very lucky.Even Lawro predicted 1:1 score draw
at Stamford Bridge, some pundits predicted that City are going to win yesterday,
I can see SAF laughing this morning knowing that 2 points is easier to clawback than five
or more points. Not Fergie alone is happy, but he is more happier than other top managers
to see the noisy neighbour dropping some points.
Even if Manchester City eventually wins the title they are not invincible. It now depends
on how they respond, their next game is Arsenal at home, and if Arsenal is able to get
a point next Sunday and Manchester United can win they would be level on points with
Manchester United and only top the table on goal difference.
It is still a long way to go, no one has ever wins the title in December.
More and more drama to come between now and January.<ok>:emoticon-0117-talki

Makes the prem as a whole fun doesn't it?

the refereeing bashing will be in overload and i'd love sky to do a ref watch thing on the sunday night and just name and shame refs.

as per can't wait for the most enjoyable part of the footabll season, namely the festive matches...

they lost because they should have been 2 up and Meirelles off after 30 minutes. When I saw Clattenberg I knew Chelsea would win.

The guy is not inept, he is a crooked ref for sure

I watched the match..some players had been sent off for things like that.I cannot remember the team in the last world cup
a player only pretending kicking another one and never touches the other player he was sent off.The referee was only being
linient.<ok> City were lucky not to be down to nine men.<ok>

by the end both couldn't complain about beng down to 9

Toure Invnovic Meirelles and least deserving Clichy actually gets sent off. Lescott was clearly trying to get his hands out of the way, he turned away, just sayng it was farless a pen than the one denied City. I swear Clattenberg is on the books of one or all of the major bettin companies. a chelsea win was unlikely and if tyhere was a fair ref, they'd have lost no doubt

As a nuetral all i can say is you want a ref you don't notice.... he is not the first ref by a long stretch in the past two weeks alone that has materially affected results through bad decision making... this time round chelsea have benefited two weeks in a row but thats not the point.

there are 4 officials on duty, two full time refs (4th offical) and two linesmen who are effectively refs in waiting. are you telling em clattenburg is the only guy who missed all of these incidents?

I think personally refs would go do themselves a BIG favour by simply conferring before a big decision. Make it manditory to book players hassling refs (like the old big mouthed carrgher, rio, terry efforts with hands behind backs but lips flapping having run 50 yards) then take the time to get the decision right.

Mikes, on refs should be open for us to hear it all.

You might be right about some things, especially clamping down firmly on dissent. However, I don't want an open mike on the ref - and I really don't want to hear the kind of effluvial language I lipread from the likes of Shrek or Terry or JC. Recording the conversations is fine however...

Players would be getting bans left right and centre (if following the Rooney judgement hurling invective down the camera...) if that kind of language was broadcast live; and the broadcaster would probably have to transmit after the watershed too!

Dude, seriously, you think clattenberg is a bad ref? He saw Rooney try to elbow someone off the ball in a flying leap, and did nothing. The penalty for Silva was a no brainer, the guy is dirty as ****

watch the chelsea game again, watch ihis decisions, he's a dirty crooked bastard

If he is just that bad, how come he gets so many top televised games? those are what all the serious betting is on

I love the sport but it has turned into bad panto
