I forgot all about Matete tbh, he will get a L1 move. I won't be surprised if some go fir nothing but we hold sell on % on them. Most aren't on high wages so not a disaster if we have to still pay towards wages - just want them gone

Ekwah is a strange one as apparently he has left but there's some legal stuff going on about his deal with St.Etinnie

I think he will, can't see any other realistic option ...

... I also saw enough in Triantis to think he can improve enough.

Well, that’s a nice surprise to wake up to before heading off to work.

So with Alderete coming in, I’d say we’re 3 players away from having a pretty good squad for a newly promoted side.

RB competition for Hume - need to loan out Huggins.
Another CB - we only have 3 fit senior options after Alderte comes in.
    A forward

Outgoings really need looked at, the vast majority of that 11 yesterday need sold/loaned.

One note of caution on Alderete is that I can't find much evidence of him speaking English, and South Americans are typically less inclined to speak English than our european brothers and sisters. That said, he's been around Europe a while so may have picked it up at Basel for example.

It's not a massive deal but we know how other south americans have struggled here as a result. And we also know how important "connections" are to RLB.

Hopefully he does his interview in perfect broken english and this is all moot.

I always felt we'd bring in a PL striker on loan ... same with wide right player imo.

Watched some clips of Alderete - A position really hard to judge on clips I think but I thought his play style was similar to Murillo of Forest who I think has been excellent since coming to the prem

Can one of the scout/data people do a comparison?

Windows shaping up nicely, will be good to start getting these lads who wont be in the squad some moves not so much for us but more for them as id like to see them seen off well and the earlier they get the move the better for them personally

There are a shed load of players to get rid of before we consider any of yesterday's team being sold / going on loan

Fantastic to sign a CB and at what seems like a bit of a bargain. Can see us still breaking our record again tbh…

I don’t class the likes of Pembele, Hemir, Ba, Matete etc as part of our squad anymore tbf.

It’s a different situation to those two. Guiu hasn’t played since CWC and Masuaku has been training alone. Alderete has been involved in pre season for Getafe. So should be up to speed (if he’s over his niggle).

Think he deserves to start based on pre-season regardless of who we sign this week

Fair point, but we will need at least 7 of yesterdays team to complete for a starting place

Same, but maybe around the same as Diarra, £30m spent on Dovbyk

Id sell Triantis personally, I'm a fan but feel we've moved on to a level I don't think he can get too. I don't want to just keep loaning players out all the time and I feel he's at an age now where he needs to play regularly and find a home.

A good move to the championship would do nicely for him, we can add a buy back into the deal in case he really kicks on

I have felt this way since we signed Diarra, the amount we’ve spent on roefs guiu Masuaku and Alderete has actually made me think this even more I can see a major signing being made

Boey looks like a really good RB option, would be a good addition I think
