Ipswich have completed Akpom and Cajuste.

Annoying.

 

Across the season I thought they'd be a shoe-in for an auto spot anyway but just a shame they've strengthened before our game. Cajuste will come straight into midfield against us and obviously won't take time to 'bed in' having been there last season. I think he was one of their best players last season too and CM was definitely a weak spot for them against Birmingham. Akpom will be a strong option even if it's just off the bench. Oh well. It was going to be a tough game anyway.

 

It would be very uplifting if we could sign up a couple of big ones but I suspect we will be left groping in the dark and finish empty handed?

 

Don’t think Cajuste has had much of a pre season though, so won’t be match fit, but you’re probably right that he will play.

 

Surly they won’t go for Dibbers as well?

 

Not sure what their wide options are, but the fact that I can’t think of them would indicate that there is probably room for Dibling as well. Moyes said they needed like 9 players or something in a recent interview I think

You could also look at it that having someone like Grealish on loan means Dibling has a year to settle in if Grealish is the starter short term
