Well OS it’s not Clive Thomas but Will Finnie. He hasn’t reffed us this season; did our inglorious defeat at the Den last season plus a early cup tie

Comments on refs this season have often been less than complimentary. What is it going to be like with next season's offerings? <yikes>

The standard is dropping season on season and the championship referees are no exception.

All we want is competence, consistency and common sense.

Today’s ref was just one of two to award us a penalty all season.

A lot of new names for us this season: first up versus Posh is Ben Speedie.

He wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit him on his exposed little todger.

Can’t be any worse than that clown we had on Saturday.
I offered him my glasses but he didn’t see me!

Elliott Bell for this weeks cup game.

Doesn’t appear to have reffed us before.

With any luck he could be Gary's grandson.

Last season was his first full one. Did 5 Championship games and a number of Div 1 and 2. Also did a Championship game yesterday. Likes dishing out yellows.

Had a decent bank manager called Don Bell back in the 70's/80's when I was starting out on my own. It was the Midland Bank back then and so easy to deal with before they were swallowed up by HSBC and went impersonal in their pursuit of profits at the expense customer relationships.

He was a short arse too and I did wonder if he was related to Gary at the time......<laugh>

Always remember he had a yellow Capri and he took me out for bite and a drink a few times - you won't get that today. <doh>

I always wanted a yellow Capri, with a black roof. Never did get one, but I did have several Ford Escorts and a couple of Fiestas, including an XR2 which was pretty quick. Later on I had a Mondeo which was quite luxurious but was never the same after a van pulled out of a side street into the side of the car.
