Glad our first team is so far from this. EFL being the exception. Rayo make simple passes, simple runs, we try stupid forward chipped passes where it's a gamble if we win it or not. A lot of the interceptions are unforced errors, lots of bad decisions so far, and running into trouble. Unecessary dribbling and losing possession.
5 of the team from yesterday are missing 3-5 games though. Shows there’s still work to do to match what Speakman said about having enough depth that AFCON won’t be a problem.
Played out of position as well, he is more a forward player in midfield, not defensive. Too much skill to sit deep. I guess it was a chance for rlb to look again at Neil in a forward role.
Done well enough. Put a cracking shift in, one or two loose bits of play, but overall one of our best performers. Not sure he has played his way in purely on this game though.
makes more sense for him to play 90 here than 15 in Germany. Personally id have made the games Friday - Monday or Friday - Sunday to allow him to do both
