Agreed. Although Roberts is one who always looks better in a stronger team whereas Neil and ELF are also making more impact today.
Weak half. Very weak but that's to be expected with that team. Only a couple of them doing well. Some of them look genuinely half arsed.
How do you come to the conclusion that's Roberts can't play premier league football, based on 45 mins of a friendly. He's a good player
Neil has looked decent this half. Interesting to see how long Rigg, Patto and Wilson get with it being their first games / back from injury
Same as what happened for Isidor last year, think with some more intelligent footballers he gets a couple chances that first half
Isodor makes some cracking runs. I dont think its just Roberts who misses them. Cannot believe we do not play more balls through to use his pace.
We seem to be playing a similar set up to last season with this team, while yesterday it was very different, the ball was moved much faster in midfield and we had more presence al across the park. If you think today’s team is not far off last seasons first team, you can see why other club bs supporters think we will go straight back down. However they are in for a surprise when we field yesterday’s team. Watching Patto on the ball is so different to yesterday’s game, he is definitely number 2.
Not imo, riggy mistake for the goal but other than that he looks fine albeit a couple of rusty touches it’s his first pre season game
here is a stream for you mate https://www.streamup.io/sport/server.html?id=sunderland-vs-rayo-vallecano-2307625
Well there is that too. I think it's a combination of both. I mean it is the first game for a few of them so the intensity of the opposition has caught them out. Their striker is ragging our centre backs about
Funnily enough I liked the look of him and just checked and he can’t hit a barn door goal wise but he’s up against young lavery and triantis tbf
How close is this to Rayo’s first team? The fact that they finished top half in La liga last season is mitigation for a team of half fit reserves I guess.
