I know it's only 2 games in, but if things don't improve quickly for Rangers, do you think Martin will make it to Christmas? I didn't watch the game, but from reports there were a few boos from the fans at times. If Celtic build up a big lead in the first few games, he could be under real pressure very, very quickly.
If he fails there, that's him done in my opinion. He'll get jobs, but just league 1 level or lower, he'll seriously struggle to get jobs at championship level.
He really laid into them didn't he ... ... no idea why he thinks he has the achievements or reputation to do that tbh.
Some really nice touches from him so far and 1 cracking effort The 2 CMs behind him are so bad tjo so impossible to get him on the ball regularly
Calling him a striker is shocking behaviour When he dribbled off the pitch at the end was like he's never played football becore
Aouichiche has been excellent. A couple of final passes just off but he was unlucky with his first half effort. Maybe we should offer them Abdullahi on loan too. Plenty of minutes because their striker is rubbish, plenty of service from AA and Keskinen, with the added bonus that he'll come back weather proofed
Brilliant game. This is the level boys and girls. Palace are a bottom half team and they look very good here against what is shaping up to be an incredible Liverpool side.
Aye feel like I’m watching harder and every player on both sides is very, very good and some are exceptional. Not like I haven’t been watching PL but looking at it differently and noting the first touch on the full backs and the energy levels. Really is another level.
It’s the pace, power and height of the players that is catching my eye. It really is a different world to what we have been used too. We’ll need to adapt quickly and RLB will need to be on it with his game management and tactics to nullify even these lesser teams. Liverpool for the champions league, this season. 6/1 looks a fair bet for me.
I really don't get how Liverpool can manage him and Isak though, unless they play Ekitike out of position on the left and bench Gakpo at times. I also understand why they can't miss the opportunity if it's there. A completely bizarre transfer saga, but the most important part is that a superb striker chose Liverpool over them.
Aye I think Gakpo would become the backup. Ekitike and Isak both don’t mind drifting wide so could be so fluid and interchangeable would be borderline unplayable. Facts are they don’t have anyone who you’d say is a ‘straight up striker’ and despite liking to drift wide you’d certainly say Isak is one.
I don't fancy our chances against Liverpool, I think they'll retain the Premier League but it will be tight.
Not what he thinks he is at all. He's already talking about getting a " good culture" at the training ground, and getting players better prepared. In other words, they were all unfit when I came, so I need extra time before I can be judged. The old excuse of a charlatan.
