365 arrested for protesting against Palestine Action terrorist designation... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news
Your number is wrong bro, even the link tells you it is wrong, try and get the facts right for a change. I only know because I just saw the number on SKY and they said 470...so it appears no one has the number right.
Police have arrested 474 people at a demonstration in London in support of banned group Palestine Action. The Metropolitan Police said 466 protesters were arrested for supporting the group, five for assaults on police officers, two for public order offences, and one for a racially aggravated offence.
Love the reasoning behind what these scumbags are doing. They believe if so many of them keep doing it, the law be overwhelmed and they’ll remove them from the terrorist list. Thick bastards. If they got their way, it would set a really dangerous precedent. We’d all be it at then, encouraging everyone to just disregard the law and eventually it would be changed
Thing is what these idiots don't realise they are doing, is getting themselves all put on the police database, making us more and more a police state everyday. So then what will happen they will use a facial recognition camera for future protests, and all their faces are going to be easily identifiable. I should say I don't know how much they do process individuals arrested, but I'd imagine it's a fair bit of data. So in affect making the cops future job easy for them. We don't need to arrest him or her now, we can pick them up later.
I read something the other day that Sheffield Wednesday were going to start using facial recognition, actually just gone and found the article, this is all going too far now... https://insidersport.com/2025/08/07/sheffield-wednesday-facial-recognition/
How are they affording that right now? I know City have installed it at the Etihad. Saying it's only for staff but only a matter of time...
When you are arrested they take your photo and fingerprints at the station and they’ve got you on file for life then. Any tattoos are noted down and anyone you are arrested with goes down as a known associate. They’re about to have a criminal record on their file for supporting terrorism, which I’m sure all future employers will be delighted to see. Exactly right on your last bit. If they don’t have the time to arrest them they’ll just go back at a later date.
Big Brother is here mate and we've allowed it to happen. Got to admit I can't believe in my lifetime how much this has become a digitally controlled state. Youngsters will grow up in it and know no different, but someone one day will misuse the easy availability of tracking people, complete people control by some lunatic. We are supposed to learn from history about dictators, well we don't seem to be making a very good job of this learning. The future will not be thanking us.
I don't agree with what these stupid protestors are doing, but they are exercising their right, albeit it breaking the law....but when I see the scenes of the arrests on tv it just reminds me of the stuff you see Russia and China do, much more brutally it's given...but data capturing from their arrests has to be a massive concern for every citizen.
They often (usually weekends) have a facial recognition police van parked up on my local High street. It ain't recognised me yet But I've seen them stop people wearing masks who walk past it. Not the hijab crew tho, they get a free pass 1984 innit
