Am I missing something here because the way I'm reading that you're completely contradicting yourself? Edit: I completely misread it. My bad.
My post says we are the only side which has prevented a newly promoted side from getting a point. So how am I contradicting myself?
First league game in ages and right now I'm glad I decided to stump up for a season ticket, though I'm sat right in the centre of a group who all know each other and looked at me funny when I sat down so wondering what happened to open up my seat. Kingsland centre didn't seem too bad atmosphere wise, could hear the Northam when they got going and also the away fans so whilst not as loud I could hear most of the ground. Wrexham were always going to run out of steam towards the end of the game so even though the penalty was crap I felt we'd get something but not quite that mental..
Said on commentary that as he clearly wasn’t playing the ball it should have been a red. The double jeopardy rule only applies if you are making a genuine attempt to play the ball and give away a pen in the process
Looking back at it, I think Stephens was close enough to stop it being DOGSO. Should have been booked though.
I have to say I was annoyed at Matty when he played that cross field pass which got intercepted when he could have just run down the line. Luckily the full time whistle went seconds later but I thought was poor decision making from him.
My motm was Manning, which I think speaks volumes. Good mentions for Baz, Rob. Crowd was pretty supportive. Great win tho & very needed. Not really sure if we were poor or Wrexham good but probably a combo of both. Still, WS gets off to a flyer & I’m sure learnt a lot from that.
I think it was quite obvious that Downes and Fernandes had missed the tail end of pre-season. Both obviously top players for the division but looked particularly rusty to me. On Wrexham, don’t think they’ll be in danger of going down but see them as lower mid table tbh. Which I’m sure the real Wrexham fans would absolutely bite your arm off for.
