somehow we have assembled a very strong championship team, I don’t want to get carried away too soon, but I think we have a fighting chance of top 6
We'd have to sell someone to buy him anyway. Baz stating in his post match chat that we're working under an agreed business plan with the EFL and regardless of the appeal outcome, we are right on the ffp limit.
Wouldn't surprise me if we're given the green light to offload Palmer or Kamara or both tbh, to make headroom for the lad.
Of the two, I'd prefer Palmer (even though he had a good day today) as overall he's not impressed often or enough in games. Kamara has a laconic style of play and impact which I'm sure we'd miss and wasn't he one of our top (in a poor team) scorers last season
You'd also have to question Joseph's future if another centr forward comes in, though we probably won't recoup what we paid.
Scored 5 under Selles. Same number as Gelhardt but wasn't on pens. Reasonable return on assists too IIRC.
There was a lukewarm rumour doing the rounds this morning that the sanctions had been lifted...Heard nowt since.
Speaking of lukewarm rumours... Heard 'owt up there about Kamara to Rangers Ric? I heard it mentioned yesterday, but didn't want to randomly post rumours without substance. Except now I am doing I guess!
There was a solid rumour doing the rounds for about a month but it's all went hush now.I think Rangers might've finished doing business which won't go down well with the faithful. The young lad from Wednesday(Gassama) has fitted in very well but I'm not sure Kamara would...Some big dirty bastard would put him 6 ft up in the air the first game he played.
Yeah, I didn’t think it was a good fit, but I can certainly imagine that he’s for sale. Though they all are for the right price I suppose.
This says we've decided not to sign Zambrano. Clubs in Europe and Brazil interested https://elcrackdeportes.com/2025/08/oscar-zambrano-hull-city-ofertas/
Just my opinion, but I don't think he's good enough to play for any Old Firm side at the moment. He'd do alright at somewhere like Hearts or Aberdeen, but he's not got the quality to be a Champions League player as it stands and that's what those teams need if they're gonna compete in Europe seriously.
I think the Zambrano article just states we didn't take the option which we knew already. We may still be interested but we have no exclusivity and so need to compete against other clubs.
