Plenty to work on for Still. It was like watching us under Martin defensively in that pretty much every chance we gave away they were through on goal with one simple ball. I will enjoy the win though, because if you can’t enjoy a late comeback then what’s the point. ****ing get in there.
Hope that no one left early! Great to see proactive subs. Finally some decent crosses which actually led to chances. Good game from Bazunu. Need to work on the high line and front three balance. Just the moral boosting win needed, however it happened. Wrexham will be a handful this season.
I watched the full game. We were lucky not to be buried at half time. We grew into after 30 minutes, but our passing was extremely pedestrian until about 75 minutes. Too many tippy happy passes. We need to get a more coherent line and and game plan if we want to be successful this season. Don't forget we were playing a team two leagues below us in But you are right, let's forget the details. We were awful tbf. Lots of reasons why and at this stage the result is all that matters, good to get a win early on for mentality
One thing with Baz other than his excellent save - his energy was superb all game. Always alert and looking for the quick release etc - sets the standard.

Wrexham where very Saintsy today, the ginger ninja played his cards right with his substitutions seeing the team line out and the finishers (excuse the rugby term) I went in positive but a bit squeaky bum time with the ref wanting a Hollywood day.
Yeah thought he was very good, especially considering he had one save to make all game I think, penalty aside. Him, Manning, Quarshie and Stephens the ones to come out of today with real credit. All the attacking players were poor I thought, Downes as well, Charles was OK. Early days and all that though
We weren’t awful. We were very average and finding our feet, but there were a lot of bright moments that didn’t quite pop. Robinson is going to have one hell of a season.
I'm pretty positive about that for a first game. Only thing I'm not seeing that other people seem to be, was I didn't think Quarshie was as good as people are saying - thought he looked pretty clumsy to be honest. I mean, I like him and I think he'll be an asset, but very, very raw and he'll cost us some goals with mistakes.
